mooncloth specialty, how many per cd?

I made a primal mooncloth yesterday for the first time, and it only let me make one. I did the quest to specialize a week or two ago (and at mooncloth trainer in lowercity I'm offered the selection to unlearn mooncloth specialty, as of 2.1, just further evidence I did the quest to specialize).

Did it change from 2 to 1 per cd in 2.1? I noticed some of the patterns changed to lower the primal mooncloth needed to make, and upped the primal motes.

Are you sure you didn't make two.

The 2 means that when you make your mooncloth, you get 2 for the cost of what others get 1 for, not that you get to do 2 per cooldown.

ooh... actually I didn't have enough mats in my inventory for two, I was just testing the process... so I blew my cd only making one, right?

Hmm, no, it's an all or nothing affair.

To make Primal Mooncloth, you require 1 each of Primal Life, Primal Water and a piece of Imbued Netherweave cloth. At a Moonwell, you make your Primal Mooncloth. The three components are consumed and you make, if specialized, 2 pieces of Primal Mooncloth. It's not that specialization allows you to make two pieces, it's that when you make it, you get twice as much. So you don't need 2 Primal Life, 2 Primal Water and 2 Imbued Netherweave.

Think of it as a make one, get one free kind of deal.

After making it, you should have a little stack of 2 Primal Mooncloth. But you only have to go through the process of making it once each cooldown.

thanks for the clarification... then I must have not accounted for my inventory properly. I had a few that I had bought for 30g in my bag, so I just miscounted.

I didn't understand it was half price. I had actually thought 30G was a bargain for a primal mooncloth; and it would be with only one per set of mats. Thanks for the clarification.

ye, I'm sure I was just rushing around and not paying proper attention. I just expected I could do t twice, and that didn't happen. Now that I understand this I wish I would have started making them earlier. I thought the AH price of 30-40, given the mats, wasn't that bad if I always bought at 30G...
