Did a clefthide for a 19 yesterday, so yes, it is still possible.

What is the roundabout cost for that armor kit? I know servers vary- im just trying to get an idea of what the cost should be so I dont overpay =). I added one to my pally last night who is about to take on a full time roll as pvper in the 29 bracket. I have some Stam/Str gear and a shield and mace backup/flag carrier spec. Im ret right now but not sure if I stay that way. with shield im 44.X% reduction. Not too shabby. Prot spec might put that over the 50 mark...

should I shoot for that?

On firetree, it's around 70g, and on spirestone, seen it as low as 60g, so it's probably somewhere around there.

i tried to put spellthread on my twink legs and it wont let me... says the item needs to be level 35 or above (this is silver spellthread btw)

Don't know, never bothered with shoulder enchants, because I think (and many others) that is is an exploit of game mechanics. That said, I know from looking and talking to other twinks that don't have the same stance as me that their enchants are still working, but whether you can still do it or not, dunno.

There are still some spell threads (silver for instance) that you can't put on pants YET. Blizzard has stated that this is a bug, and next patch, there will not be a level requirement on any of the leg enchants.

as far as i saw, all the spell threads, cobrahide, clefthide, and all the other leg armors you can still put on...i have a pair of pants with cleft hide, and a pair with mystic spell thread
