best twink, non rogue

Ok i have a 70 rogue, 65 pally. i've never had a twink for very long jsut ended up playing through. my question is what's the best twink class at 19, i'd rather not make another rogue ( i know they are arguably the best at 19 ) , im not sure how good mage, lock and priest would be priest being shd. i have a 30 hunter that im considering makin another hunter b/c he did own when he was 19 in BGs. any info and maybe the best profs would be appreciated.

My hunter rips through twinked out rogues, no matter what enchants they have.

IMO, the hunter and rogue are OP at the 19 bracket. The only way a rogue can take my hunter down is if he sneaks in on me and starts pumping out damage while i'm popping one of his buddies off.

yeah im deciding if i want a warf for stone form or ne for stealth/dodge but leaning towards dwarf. no idea on profs yet but w/e

Yeah, and twink rogues lost a bunch of their dodge from the patch... so hunters will dominate like no other...

But steath is a big thing... picking off a hunter from behind while he's focused on what's in front of him will still work sometimes.. meh... that's just going a bit OT though..

well if you decide to hop on the hunter bandwagon, don't count out Draenai. Their heal over time racial is nice since it's rare to get helas in the bg's. Most everyone is too busy farming hk's to pay attention. you're gong to be a copy of a copy of a copy, but, if all you want to do is "wtf pwn" and you lack any real skill...........hunter is the class for you.

If you decide to give yourself a little bit more of a challenge, and you go warrior, take gnome...........you almost have to with all the twink hunters out there

90% same gear as a Rogue -> expensive
Add a good bow/gun (prefered) -> expensive [Not that needed for a Rogue!]
Add two good weapons -> expensive

In short, they're as if not more expansive than Rogues.

Seriously, if you are asking about 'cheaper' you won't get there as a full twink.

My opinion is you should go to 29 and BG there. You get much better choices for gear. Its more common and therefore cheaper to gear. There are enough quest rewards and green drops that are as good or better than some blue stuff people can buy.

If you only want to be 19. Make an horde char and farm Wailiing Caverns for the bow drop, the legs. Farm the deadmines for the chest and a 1 or 2 hand weapon. Its not as expensive as other classes.

You can go to WC as Alliance too. With leg armors still being usable on low level items, WC legs are inferior to green AP legs with Cobrahide/Nethercobra.........which is what you should be using if you are worth your salt.

29 is no cheaper to twink a charcter. Sure you can geta few more quest items, but, most of those quests start at 28 so you can only do a couple of them without putting yourself in danger of leveling. Youa re also dealing with more expensive enchants since you shouls at least be looking at +6 to stats on chest, +12 agi on back, and Savagery on your 2hander.

as redonkulous as hunters are at 19, the are even worse at 29.

Hunter can be quite annoying. Especially with my mage.

Put a twink warrior with a healer of some sort, and the warrior will tare everyone appart. Also twink paladins can be quite annoying.

Please . . .lol . . .couldnt be more incorrect . . . hunter's don't have the warlock interface abundance / options but every person that says Hunter's don't take skill have never partied with a proper hunter or don't play their own correctly.

yes you can wtfpwn ppl with just spamming a button - so can warriors - so can rogues - put a lock on a ridge and let them tab target and drop curses on everyone - tab - 1,2,3 - tab - 1, 2,3 . . . but play / party with a hunter with the proper spec for instancing and watch what a hunter's utility can do . . .

All classes take skills when played properly - not all of us hunters stand still and pew pew till we're dead.

On the contrary, I play will some of the best twink hunters out there and I have a one myself to help others practice.

Sure not all Hunters do it, but, they are the only class in the 19 bracket that can do it........from further range than any other class, through terrain, with the most movement cc, and still do equal melee damage to that of a warrior.

Just because you don't do it, doesn't mean that it doesn't exsist or happen. Anyone that has spent a resonable amount of time in the 19 bracket knows that the number of hk farming hunters is on the rise and that the ratio of skilled hunters is in decline.


So in fact I am correct, and I will restate that if you want to farm hk's in the 19 and 29 brackets, and lack any real skill, Hunters are the perfect fit for you.

Agreed - I was speaking in general, not specifically about 19 as your comment seemed general to me. So on that point, indeed, hunters do wtf pwn with ease in that bracket.

I have a 19 hunter on some server that I stopped playing on. Its sorta fun to play but not my real cup of tea. I find it to be a little boring. Also, its not the best BG class. Killing people is cool but assisting the flag is more important. Between traps and conc shot, hunters can be VERY good backups to flagers

I reckon for a twink locks r ok mine pwns! ..I did try a hunter but idunno it got boring because i already have a lock so I just lvled it to 49 instead and made it a twink again ...but in BG i hate hunters so much wif my lock if they're fully twinked >=( im not fully twinked and i somehow still kill em =D ""hunters r easy to kill"" u just gotta kno how ta play but im not lyin they do own heaps!!

if u want to enjoy playing i wouldnt make any other twink than a rogue... if u want 2 pwn rogue but get bored in 5 minutes, make a hunter. Warriors and pally's can be fun but a good rogue shouldnt have a problem with either of these unless u have THE best possible gear/enchants u can have. if u wanna make a rogue twink, check my guide in the rogue pvp section. to check out what type of gear u should look for check out my twinks armory. just remember, hunters think they r so good because they can beat u. but when they start trash talking duel them again and pop ur cooldowns. pop evasion at the start and my dodge is over 100% so they wont be able to wingclip me. 9 out of 10 times i wont even need 2 use sprint.

o and BTW if u have truly THE BEST gear possible as a priest u should be able 2 pwn rogues 1 v 1. not only that people will love u in BG's if u actually know how 2 heal.

The only way a rogue should ever beat an equally geared hunter who starts at range is if the rogue burns both 5 minute cooldowns and gets lucky. In order for a rogue to beat a hunter when the rogue stealths in behind him, the rogue will have to use at least 1 of his cooldowns.

If the hunter stars at range, the rogue must sprint in order to get into range. Once he's in range, he must pop his evasion so that no wing clip can connect. If a wing clip does connect, the rogue is history. Even if he pops both cooldowns, there's a small chance (based on crits) that the rogue will go down before he ever gets in range of the hunter...and there's also a chance that the hunter will outlast the rogues evasion, once in range (based on lucky dodges).

If the rogue is able to start within range of the hunter, he must still pop evasion, as to avoid the wing clip. There's still a small chance that the hunter will outlast the evasion. Hunters, in general, are the paper to the rogue's "rock" in this bracket. Hunters have no real weakness in this bracket. A warrior that gets the jump on a hunter is annoying...but that's the only real 1v1 threat.

And yes...a priest should nearly always be able to beat a rogue 1v1. Rogue gets the jump on the priest, priest attempts to create distance. A good rogue won't allow distance, and priest must use psychic scream. The rogue will insignia out of the scream, but enough space has been created to both allow the priest to cast a renew+shield, and to force the rogue to pop his sprint. No use running at this point. Begin casting your heal to make him use his kick. Reapply SWP, shield yourself (if available) and begin healing yourself again. Once his sprint fades, check to see if you can create enough space again. If not, just keep yourself alive until you can psychic scream again. Once that scream gets off, the rogue has no more tricks up his sleave...he'll be kited into oblivion--slow, painful wand death.
