Honor gear buff 12th of June?

I've done a lot of battlegrounds with my 70 mage during the last month and have amassed a buckload of honor, but have kept off getting any honor gear as I heard rumors that the gear will be buffed.

- Will there be a honor pvp gear upgrade 12th of June?
- If yes, anyone have some info about new stats etc?

Its not honor pvp gear upgrade as far as I'm concerned, but there will be new arena gear coming. That's all I know.

Mince, I read somewhere that they would buff the honor gear at the same time as the Arena gear. Now I get a bit unceartain though, maybe it was just a wet dream of mine...;-)

Hmm, true to a certain extent in 2.1.0. All of the arena gear was upgraded and all of the epic PvP honor rewards were also upgraded already.

At the earliest, on the 12th of June, the new arena season will start. Season 2 promises a new arena set and possibly some other new arena awards. In this same patch they will also have some new honor rewards, but the current ones are not getting buffed any further.

Another thing that happened in the 2.1 patch was the pvp rewards decreased in price. The moment you are waiting for already came. :wink:

Save your honor till after the 12th. Because no they aren't buffing existing honor items, but are adding new ones which will be more powerful to coincide with Arena season 2.

I'm going to guess that there will be new cloaks/belts/boots/etc epics, but I have a hunch that the Season 1 Arena gear will be purchasable with honor now, as it'll be "out dated" as soon as Season 2 begins.

Oooh, thanks for the replies, got it on the official forums: New high end epic Arena rewards will also be added to coincide with the start of the second Arena Season, as well as new epic Honor rewards.

Goodie, and re: 2.1 I haven't checked in on the reward dealers post-patch, will take a look but heed your advice and wait until the 12th to purchase anything.

Gaelan: If season1 Arena gear is purchasable by honor it would be really nifty, for a non-uber pvp:er as myself I would at least feel - and look - badass ;-)

I would doubt that the existing epic pvp rewards would be replaced. It would make more sense to offer legs/chest/helm/shoulders/gloves that are epic quality and cost more honor. At least thats what I'm hoping since I've already got the boots/belt/wrist epics...

Yeah, could be they'll leave the belts, boots, etc alone, but add Season 1 5-piece as honor rewards now, or a new honor point 5-piece in some way. But why make a new 5-piece when you can just use the 'old' Arena Season 1 set.

Then people who couldn't complete their Season 1 set via Arena, can still complete it if they choose to.

Well, stat/dam upgrades are nice ofc, but what I'm really hoping for is to get honor pvp gear with a different look. It's hard to play a wise, old gnome mage with a nasty temperament when I look like a midget from a Molin Rouge cabaret...

Well, since those do count as arena rewards then yes, they are going to pop up. I'm fairly certain new armor will be added (since there are rumors and statistics of new armor floating around lately), but I can't say for sure about weapons.

Any links to new arena gear yet? I wonder if cost will increase? I desperately need shoulders and have been banking points for the glad ones but if the season 2 shoulders are same cost I'd rather wait for another week or two.

So I have just been Pvping for My epic boots. are there going to be new ones out on the 12th? and if everytime an arena season ends a new set will be released? does that not foretell constant upgrades of all your hard earned Arena and BG gear?
Im quite happy to pvp get my gear and be done with it. not pvp get it and then 2 weeks later find its useless and outdated!

It is confirmed by a blue post that arena gear will always stay available via arena points only, though the first season gear has 15% reduction in cost. There's addition of new arena weapons and season 2 gear which, I think, will cost as much as season 1 rewards during season 1.

As for the honor rewards, improved epic honor is added, though the cloak stays the same, and there's a new ring to be earned.

So first season arena gear is reduced by 15%. Are the replacements going to be priced the same as what's currently offered? Any linky's to new stats?

Not too sure if the second season gear is priced the same as first season before season 2 starts. But I sure as hell hope so.
