Level 32 hunter, already good in skinning and leatherworking, I'd like to have a secondary profession: Cooking or fishing?? I tried to learn cooking in Stormwind, but I just found somebody selling recipes and nobody who could train me. Where can I found a cooking trainer for beginners?
I also thought that, having a pet, fishing was a better choice to have fresh meat. I found a trainer in Ironforge but apparently if I want to have the equipment for fishing I have to give up my axe and totem. So can a hunter have fishing as a secondary profession??
thanks

You can actually have all three secondary professions ( First Aid, Fishing, and Cooking), so no need to worry pick them all up.

If you are looking for a trainer in a major city just ask a guard to point you to one.

Pick up all 3 secondary professions. Since you wont need the cloth you pick up for tailoring, make bandages. Get fishing, you only need to equip your rod to fish, when done you can switch back to your weapons. I keep my pole and weapons on a side bar for easy access. Good for pets, yes. But you can also level cooking at the same time as fishing by cooking the fish you catch. Use

as your guide, fishing and cooking is the third post down.

I used it this past weekend and got fishing from 38 to 232 and cooking from 6 to 286 in a day. Sounds boring, but it is really no more boring than gold or rep farming.

Also, with fishing... use the best fishing rod u can get and the best lures you can get while doing so. If you know an engineer, they can make great lures if I am not mistaken. This will GREATLY enhance your speed and success.

I'm guessing that the guy you found in Stormwind that was selling recipes was in the Pig and Whistle tavern in Old Town. There is also a cooking trainer in that same building, but he's back in the kitchen on the ground floor
