Scarlet Monastery is an instance in the far north of the Eastern Kingdoms. (Trisfal Glades) It is an instance for both Horde and Alliance with mobs ranging from 33 - 43 I believe. It is a good place to go as it has four different instances you can do. The lowest is the graveyard, followed by the library. You must run and kill the boss in the Library to aquire a scarlet key that allows you to enter the other 2 areas. (Cathedral and Armory)
That is the bare bones information on the place.

its north east of the Horde City Undercity.. on a pvp server alliance might get a bit in trouble.. at least it used to be that way, but nowadays everybody is in TBC so less folks around to gank

Yeah, we are all spending our time in Outlands... none of us are even close to SM anymore… *whistles innocently*
Bring your friends (especially your gnomes friends), and a picnic basket. You’ll be quite safe. I promise. *grins*

LOL...my little gnome hoofed it from Wetlands to South Shore last night, and these gosh darn undead rogues with skulls on their profiles kept popping up out of nowhere and one shotting me! And then there was this Troll Priest and a Tauren Druid camping the South Shore GY. I thought I was supposed to be safe!

You must have been mistaken. I know that when you are getting killed almost instantly, it is difficult to see what you were killed by - which is why you mistakenly thought that the night elves that were killing you were undead.
I find it pretty upsetting that the alliance players are beginning to gank their own members….
Well, run along now - and stop scaring the other gnomes!

Good job Kugan, now he won't know it was us =D. He'll suspect his own friends... Then they'll suspect theirs... It'll continue on until the entire Alliance is no longer the Alliance, but the... Un... Alliance? MUAHAHA!

Oh, and you Kugan
I find the run to SM ok tbh. When you are there its a different story of course - the other night there were 2 groups of both factions at the meeting stone at same time - silly horde attacked & we pushed them back almost to UC. Good job to any of those guys reading this

Good times . . .. Good times . . . lol

I assume you mean you are raising your weapon skill by killing lower level players but you don't get weapon skillups in pvp or duels.

What is the fastest way to SM? What path do you take? For the alliance, it seems to be a far way from any flight paths and any NPC's to repair.

We fly to southshore & head north west and go past Dalaran in Alterac valley then over Lordamere lake and past undercity. never tried from western plaguelands so not sure if thats easier/quicker :)

That is the route we took last night. It was a far walk. I think going from Chillwind point might be faster, but then the mobs will probably kill us before we even get there. I'm not sure if there is a way around the mobs from chillwind, or if it would be faster.

I think its the only option really. Although if you have a couple of level 40's who have their mounts its obviously quicker. Then summon the level 30-39's.

The irony is that when I was levelling a horde priest on a PvP server, because I preferred UC to Org, I was often there before my party, and would have alliance try and attack me. It seems like there's no rhyme or reason to where people will or won't keep a low profile :)
(Dead alliance BTW, always travelled in my PvP gear and was specced for face melting)

Horde territory really puts a damper on Alliance aggression.

Watch out for UD Rogues and Druids though, my friend is a Level 69 UD Rogue, so when he runs me sometimes, Alliance comes, and he kills them for fun.
Since Rogues and Druids can stealth.

Best way to get to SM is to get the flight point at Chillwind Camp. Stay on the road and you shouldnt get attacked by the huge spiders and bears on the lurk!
Then, walk west until you get to a lake, swim nothwest, rejoin the road and run west until you get to the gate to Trisfal Glades, turn north and run up past the outposts until you see the monstery.
It is in the top right hand corner of the Trisfal Glades map.
I used this route as a level 35, and never once died on the way.

Not in my experience, frequently had peaceful swiftthistle harvesting sessions interrupted by foolish rogues.. :)
