mining or herbalism, what brings the most money. I got tailoring and im debating on which gather profession to go. Dont say enchanting i never can make any money with it.

Having done both, herb is easier but mining makes more money.

You would also probably make more money skilling up on Mining than you would on herbalism. Stuff from mining is extensively used for Blacksmithing, Engineering, and Jewelcrafting, so it usually has a bigger market.

ive been mining on an alt but have decided tat herbalism is a better option for outlands so i can pass the herbs onto guild alchemists for the potions my main is always needing

I guess that depends on the server, mine seems like there are not a lot of herbalist as the price of the herbs are very high, and not competition. I used to be and pickup miner, that makes money too but i dont not what to do with my stacks of Hardenen Adamantite Bars ¬¬.

I agree that mining is a great profession for money making. Also when it is paired up with leatherworking many people believe that is the way to go until they get a mount. I havent tried the double gathering idea, but a few of my friends have and lets just say that i go to them when i need a few silver
