Hey all

In raids specifically Kara what consumables should each class/spec use?

Like maybe for example Rogues should use Flask of Relentless Assault?

Something like this:

Restro Druid uses ????? Feral Druid uses ?????? Balance Druid uses ????

Something along those lines for each class and spec.

I know Im asking you a lot but thanks all for the replies!

Mages/Shadow Priests/Warlocks/ - Flask of Supreme Power
Warriors/Feral Druids (Tanks) Flask of Titans
Warriors/Druids/Rogues (DPS) Flask of Relentless Assualt
Priests/Paladins/Druids (Healers) - Flask of Mighty Restoration

I have no idea about some of them and i maybe wrong (Looking now and maybe Flask of Wisdom would be better for some of the Healers, and i have missed off Shamans because im unsure of some of the rolls and ability's as well as Moonkins)

Have some guildie potion and elixir masters.

MT - ironshield pots, elixir of major defense, elixir of mastery, elixir of major fortitude
Melee dps - onslaught elixir, major agility, demonslaying
Casters - adepts, elixir of major shadow power, etc
Healers - healing power, draenic wisdom

Arcane prot / Magic Resistance / food buffs

We only use conumables when we get stuck, if you're clearing trash you shouldn't need them, if it's your first night at a new boss, either use nothing as you're only practicing, OR use a flask, which persists through death.

Once you feel you have the tactic sorted for a particular boss, but you need that extra bit of DPS or whatever, then you can have a "buff call" which is everyones sign to take whatever pots they have and get pumped!

Overall I feel a good Elixir Combo is more beneficial than a flask--even the new ones. The drawback of elixir's though is that they can quickly become very expensive if you're wiping a lot. Hence, for learning new content flasks are the way to go.

Elixir-wise as a MT I like to use Major Fortitude and Major Agility. Not sure what any other classes like to go for though.

Don't forget major wizard oil and major mana oil. Major wizard is +42 damage, one creation creates a pot with 5 charges. It does not take up a battle spot and is much cheaper to make than flasks. It also persists through deal.

Casters should use adept's elixir + major wizard oil. if you die consistently, hold off on the adpets and just use the wizards as it persists through death.

Adepts + major wizard = +64 dmg and +24 to crit. You can also take a defensive potion with this if you like. Flask of supreme power = +70dmg and even with the nerf to mats is considerably more expensive to make.

Adepts are plentiful, and the mats are plentiful. Wizard oil's major component is arcane dust, most players have 2-3 of those laying around, if not they aren't that expensive to buy.

Also a 30 minute charge of wizard oil is good. You might only want to use it once, and can use the other 4 charges later. Once you flask.. its gone.

Just my opinion, much cheaper and easier to get and in my opinion more effective. Besides, enchanters in your guild can skillup from making the oils.

Flask really are the way to go now when attempting new content. The cost has dropped substantially and they persist through death.

Also, don't forget about food buffs. They are easy to get and can add quite a bit to your stats!

Healers - healing power, draenic wisdom

Also toss in +Mana Regen or +Healing food (Fishsticks), along with Brilliant Wizard Oil (+42 healing) or Brilliant Mana Oil (+Regen)

The Oils are very often CHEAP since people make them to level Enchanting, and you get 5 30 minute charges that last through death so they are very cost effective.

I usually drop consumables because its fun to get all buffed out. I went into Nightbane this weekend with full buffs, and I was glad I did as the fight lasted over 13 minutes
