Reformatting question

I am getting close to wanting to reformat my hard drive. Im not sure what information is stored on my computer and whats stored on the internet. What files should I backup? Is there a file that keeps the game updates intact? I fear losing anything I dont want to lose. I want to be able to reformat, install the game, load the game and presto its just like I left it before I reformatted.

just copy over your entire world of warcraft folder. that way, it's all there - :-)
