in your opinion, what primary proffesion rakes in the cash?
Mining and Herbalism
Apart from this, the topic belongs to the Profession forum....

As far as Gold per hour, DIS-enchanting i believe to be #1. Or high end alchemy.

enchaning for the win, since you can stay home in mighty Orgrimmar and don't get dirty hands.
herbalism is good for peasants (and cows)
mining is good for criminals (and dwarfs)
alchemy is good for morons (and undeath)
tailoring is good for sissies (and humans)
engineering is good for idiots (and gnomes)
skinning is good for butchers (and orcs)
etc etc
enchanting is good for me
And you are not missing the bit where it costs tons of disenchanted items? Not to mention that you cannot stay in Orgrimmar, you kinda need to level with your profession. No lv 1 with a skill of 375.
If enchanting IS the No1 moneymaker - well...what a change. pre-TBC people were moaning about this being very useless (and expensive)
And unless you have a few enchants that are rare and in high demand, there is always some poor sod levelling the profession who will do the enchant for free.
Still, that list made me laugh Q.

Mining is undoubtly probably the best moneymaker. Right from the start, you can be making money on copper bars.

This is also very server specific. I was on one server where Skinning was making more money for me then mining was...but then I switched to a different server and there it was the opposite.
