I recently had to download wow again to a whole new computer and with all of the patches that have come out since game release. I feel over whelmed with all of the patch downloads. Do I really have to download them all! GGRRRR! Please help

I think you will just have to get 2.1.0 and 2.1.1.

Don't tear you hair out please. It probably won't be an attractive look for one thing, even if the pain is bareable by your standards.

On topic however, patch mirror links: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww01810p These should go faster than the Blizzard downloader could do.

Install WoW. Ignore all patches. Install TBC and this will automatically take you up to WoW 2.0 and you can then simply patch up from here - 2.1.1.

oh Thank you! I was so frustrated last night! Finally I get a working computer and, like always, there is a hitch. When I tried to download the latest patch from the official site, it would not progress beyond 0. and yes, I'm sure it wouldn't be cute but who knows, maybe I'd look good bald  :ponder:

2.6 KB I think for the BC that I am downloading from the official site. That won't BUDGE. GRRR. I was wondering if I can just download the whole thing to a disc from my mom's computer and than just upload it into mine (since i have a feeling it is my internet connection that is making it slow)

Should work, no different from using your own cd's on another comp really.

Exactly Valas, I should have held onto all of my discs from the BC but I was in the process of moving when I downloaded it :P and I lost some of the discs. But hey I have the box! haha. It's a lot to downlaod when you just have regular high speed internet. The recent update though. I was wondering if I could download that and upload it onto my computer via disk. My parents have excellent speed for their internet. I could download everything I need in about 15 minutes but with mine it will take forever.

2.6KB? or 2.6 GB?

If that is the entire thingy how much just for the WOW (not BC) patches if i had the disks?

EDIT: sorry i'm not being clear. I'm intending to buy WOW next month without BC. I want to know just what the size of the files that i would have to download after installation are...

Sorry, if I wasn't clear.
Afaik, it should work. The cd's you burn are really no different from the official cd's in that sense. Now the reason, why I'm not saying it will work, is because of the possibility of scratches on the cd, cd/dvd drive being ornery etc etc. Very few guarantees in life and I'm not going to make absolute statements, unless I can back them up, which in this case I cannot, because of circumstances beyond my control.
