Netherdrake Colors

What color Netherdrake are you guys going for?:thumbsup:

I have to apologize, I'm going to go off subject here but thought it would be appropiate since players who are going to get or have their netherdrake will be reading this:

Is the netherdrake a new addition, part of the 2.1 patch?

How much game time does it take to get one? In other words, people who own one...how many game hours are on your main?

The Netherdrake mount was added during the last major patch.

You have to become exhaulted with the netherdrake faction in order to get one.

I have been grinding rep since the patch came out. I am revered and am probably about a week away from getting my mount. I only play about 3 hours every night. Some of the more hardcore players already have them (but I work full time and have a wife). You also have to have the epic flying skill before you can start grinding the daily quests.

How much is the flying skill?

Is it only a matter of getting rep? Isnt that kind of easy?

The flying skill is 5000g. Coming up with that much money is probably the hardest part in my opinion. Right now it is not rediculously hard to get the netherdrake mount, but keep in mind it will get harder as more people start grinding the area. Right now it is not too bad since there are not a ton of people doing it.

If you do all of the daily quests every day then it should take you about 2 weeks. I started the day after the patch and I got my mount Monday morning. In my grinding time I got about 10 eggs so it'll diminish your time the more you get (250 rep each). I work full time but, luckily, my fiancee also plays so we were able to do some quests together but you should be able to finish all daily quests even at revered in about 2-3 hours every day. I was farming extra hide and crystals on the weekends so I wouldn't have to do as much during the week so I generally had 1-2 extra days of crystals and 3-4 days of hide on me at all times.

Also, despite the riding skill being 5,000g, you'll earn a ton of gold grinding the rep. I started out with about 400g and, by the time I finished rep grinding, I was up to 4100g.

I ended up taking the Onyx Netherwing. :thumbsup:

I am presently moving in this direction with the goal of getting a Netherdrake. I am still a little confused on the exact process (am a 70 lvl).

It is my understanding that you have to have the epic flying training (not necessarily an epic flying mount) prior to begining this quest series (5000 G cost).

Can you begin working on the rep prior to having the epic flying training? If I could grind the rep and gold at the same time that would be awesome. I got the impression from another similar thread you couldn't even begin working towards the Netherdrake until you had the epic flying training.

I'm certain that you're required to have the 300 training and I think you do need an epic flying mount as well but someone correct me if I'm wrong on that part.

You dont' *need* an epic flying mount.. but if you're already spent the 5000g to get the skill (to start the rep grind quests), you might as well buy the 280% speed mount as well. :)

I'm going for the darker purple one that closely matches my Hallowed Set. Looking at the other Tier sets, it looks mostly subdues whites/blues/purples for me, so want a cute little netherdrake to match. :grin:

Sorry to be off topic aswell but, what colours are there to choose from? and are there quests you can do for rep thta mining and skinnig are needed for? I want to know if i should be saving leathers and ores for the mount.

There are purple, onynx, blue, and one that is greenish colored. I unfortunately do not have a gathering skill, but I think one of the quests calls for knothide leather.

There are plenty of quest resources available online for this faction.

By tomorrow the mount should be mine. I was working on skyguard rep and doing netherwing secondary due to the superficialness of a new mount but...since I stopped raiding I dont care. Neon pink!? I've looked at the colors on wowwiki was hoping for a reddish, I'll probably go with purple, onyx is to cliche'.

It's actually Undermine Flayer Hide that you get from the flayers and ravagers on Netherwing Ledge.

Actually, when you hit Friendly, there is a quest called "Overseeing and You:...(forgot the rest). You turn in 10 Knothide Leather and then go to the Eco-Dome in Netherstorm and kill that Tyranus and get his hide.

True, there is that one. I thought he was referring to the repeatable though where you turn in 35 flayer hides a day.
