Regrets

Well Whats the preferable boss order for "new" raid groups going to SSC? We just downed mag recently but once gruul + mag = one raid night, I will start SSC asap. Both me & my other MT already had our resistance gears ready for hydross, but issit still advisable then we skip hydross first to go to others? Which boss is easiest in your opinion for SSC? Need some guidance again! Thanks!:afro:
Hmm We were at the same stage week before last week in our guild. Killed Mags and Grull in one night now easly, once people learn the tricks. Killed Mags and grull on thursday and went to SSC on Sunday night.
We made the mistake I think of going for Hydros first. After the guild spent the whole weekend farming all the mats needed for 3 complete sets of resist gear for our tanks and farming AH for our Druids. (Massive effort by all so we decided to do Hydros first.)
Hydros is an annoying/frustrating fight to learn, a lot of little mistakes can mean that even though you get to 10 minute enrage mark there is no way you can kill him. Or a mistake just wiped the whole raid, very easly done.
Hydros takes a lot of practice and attention by all members. I recommend you do learning runs of him, but focus on killing the second boss first, The Lurker Below. He is so like Ragnaros it is easy to pick up tactics and kill him.

Btw we killed Hydros last night, 7 healers, 5 tanks and the rest were dps. For Hydros, Dps > than healing, just change early so water tombs do not require massive healing.

It took us a long time to successfully execute the rather simple hydross strategy, so i would recommend going for the second boss first.
Lurker is really simple (think of it as an C'thun without spreading coupled with some easy controlable adds). The only thinkg i am not 100% sure about is, if you can boild the fishies without defeating hydross, but i guess the fish-boiling is connected to the platforms around lurkers spawnpool and not to any hydross trash.
Additionally, Morrogrim is also real easy so you can go for him before doing hydross as well.
However, you will need to learn the hydross fight at one point in the future anyhow, so you are just postponing the learning phase by skipping him ... I would suggest you do about one hour learning on him and then move on each raidday (if you want drops from other bosses in SSC) or you just take the hit and learn the encounter and be done with it (personally i would prefer that one since hydross is not that hard ... just harder than the next two bosses)

Tbh, hydross learning can be done in an evening.
We havent done him since our first kill as one of our resistance geared tank had been away with school (we killed him pre-patch btw) and went back with a entirely new strat, after not even looking at him for 1 and a half months, and got him to 33% on the first pull.
Lurker is a joke now, if you can put out decent DPS he's free loot.
