Hi,

I have a small problem. My brother wants to start playing Wow soon. All the internet connections in the house go through one router.

Does this ouput the same IP for every computer?

I read somewhere that Blizzard does not allow more than one IP per game.

My question is if my brother installs and plays Wow, would one of us get banned for having two games for the same IP?

Thanks.

It does give you the same public IP. But that is no problem, as many organizations use proxies / NAT devices to provide one single public IP with many private IPs behind it. Think University dormitories, etc. So no, there is no problem having two different accounts from the same public IP.

Whoever told you that Blizzard doesn't allow the same IP was wrong. Some people play together in the same household on two different accounts over the same connection, and have been doing so without problems for months. The theory doesn't fit the reality.

I am living proof that two accounts can be played at one house, simultaneously...

My son and I have both played the game for almost two years.
