I've been playing WoW on the chinese servers, unfortunately the Burning Crusade will only be launched next week in China, due to the sluggish development progress of the Chinese WoW company. I was wondering if any of you could draw upon your 6 months experience of playing BC, and spare some tips on wise material investment opportunities for BC.
What are some items that I should purchase and store in the beginning of BC (where players have just started to lvl up), and potentially make a huge profit by selling them at a higher market price when most players have reached level 70. For example, I heard that gold bars had their price increased to about 50G. Rigtheous Orb trippled its value.
Any of you smart players that could offer some useful advise on what items/materials that I should stock up and resell later?
Ores for all the aspiring jewelcrafters..and shadowgems, tigereyes, malachites...that kind of stuff. Large Brilliant shards as well..they were down to 3 gold pre-TBC and now they are up to 9-12 gold.
Generally all enchanting mats are very high at, especially anything of Dream Dust and above. Midrange herbs sell always well, people just don't bother with collecting them. Essences of Fire/Water/Earth dropped sharply, while Undead skyrocketed.
Stuff like that.... currently I am making loads of money by selling Plans: Inlaid Mithril Cylinders. My Engineer makes them for 20 silver and they easily sell for 4 gold.

Lots of pre-BC mats for enchants, like LBS, Rightous orbs and stuff easily gotten from upper level 5-man dungeons. Think twink-enchants. TBC enchants can only be used on lvl 35+ items, so the 19 and 29 twink community will still need lots of stuff for that.
Additionally, you can expect a soar in prices for all things jewelcrafty. I.e. ores of different kinds, gems and such due to lots of people powerleveling their new found profession. Ores, not bars.
If you're an enchanter, buy out all lvl 67-68+ green items you can find for less than 6-8 gold and dust it. Level 58+ greens for less than 4-6 gold. Sell your Arcane Dust. You'll find LOTS of items in that price range at the beginning of the BC, but you'll notice that prices for greens will rise a bit after a while as the community grows older and higher level. You may also find lvl 65+ blues for less than 15 gold. Buy ASAP and DE for a large shard. Sell for 25g in the beginning (allthough beginning is relative as to how fast your server proceeds).
Note that these are all my experiences from my server and it may be vastly different on yours.
Cheers.

lvl to 70 as quickly as possible and farm primals on the elemental plateau in an area called nagrand. If you can be one of the first few up there and farm loads of primals, you could make a fortune selling them later on.
Ores - have a low lvl miner alt farm copper ore around starting areas, sell ore for huge profits.
skinning - skin clefthoof bulls in nagrand for thick clefthide and cobras in shadowmoon for cobra scales.. needed for the leg armor kits and crafted leather epics which sell really well.

Nethergarde brew. Buy 50, and while you are scooting around hellfire peninsula doing quests, put in /2 Nethergarde Brew 1g each
It's needed for a quest and you can only buy it in nethergarde keep in blasted lands. Not far I know, but I sold 20 at Honor Hold!!!

Superling, I'm not in a position to comment, but can I commend you for that brilliant can-do spirit and getting ready to decimate all in the marketplace. That's sheer brilliance!

Thanks for all your helpful comments everyone. I've saved up a reasonable amount of gold. not to just set it aside and have it contribute to my epic flying mount, but to use it as capital for the purpose of investing in large quantities of undervalued items once BC is launched on my server. And if I could successfully take advantage of the market, I wouldn't need to grind for an epic flying mount anymore.
I hope I can make good use of these tips and I'll be extremely grateful if I could fulfill my plan.

Farm and buy up all the Runecloth prior to BC launch.
Sell it at a premium to everyone wanting to power up tailoring and first aid.
