Isn't there a chain quest in Netherstorm that you won't be able to do if you if you become friendly with Netherwing?

All I know of is the Zuluhed chain in Shadowmoon Valley, where you have to kill Zuluhed the Whacked and free the dragon. You can still help in a healing role, but won't be able to attack.

mmmm, yeah, theres a couple but...those get you to neutral so...you just can't help someone else.

*edit- you can kill zuluhed's summons.

There are quests in blade's edge and shadowmoon that involve killing netherwing. You do know what "at war" is right(although it doesn't work for zuluhed the whacked if you help someone else on it).

You are able to complete any quests (and farm for that matter) involving killing nether drakes and dragons by setting your faction w/ Netherwing to "At war", and you will not lose rep by killing them.

Done just last night.

Nice, I didn't know you could set your faction like that. I am assuming that you can change it back, correct?

Yes, same way. I forget if you click or right click on the faction in your rep page, but it's a subpanel with a checkbox. Easy to find if you know it's there.

You just right click on the rep bar and then click "At War", yep. On a side note... I wonder what would have happened if Blizzard had made you lose rep by killing the Netherwings. Maybe your Netherwing mount would just turn on you and attack and you'd have to start all over.... Or maybe your mount will hole up and refuse to come back out until you grind the rep again... :ponder:

Heh.

If you're not farming for dragon scales, it's only 2 or 3 quests in Netherstorm that actually require you to kill any drakes or dragons, so it probably wouldn't be too bad for ya.

But it'd be cool if it refused to carry you until you built your rep back up.

Talking of rep...I do find the concept of the way you gain rep especially with Netherwing a bit lame. Okay, so you are a Fel Orc and every quest you do for the Dragonmaw, the "friend on the inside" says it will be offset by something other that hurts the Dragonmaw.

So naturally, the sabotage acts, like poisoning food and killing transporters should give Netherwing rep. But the Booterang? Getting Peons back to work? Make them actually mine more crystals...or gathering crystals. This gives Netherwing rep? Or helping out down in the mines? Actually helping the mistress and the Foremen there making the oparations run smoother?

Ok, I won't complain because it is fun and fast...but also tastes like a weak way to come up with quests and then explain them away afterwards. Lets see how the Murkblood quests evolve..that Foreman just sacrificed his hand to me. Hope it goes on at honored...

Having a man on the inside isn't very useful if it's just a peon. Operatives of high rank are alot more effective. Just look how the Scourge are able to manipulate the Argent Dawn and Scarlet Crusade...
