On my server, Thorium Botherhood, The elemental platue in Nagrand is seriously overpopulated as is Skald in Blades Edge with people farming primals. Unfortantly this is also one of the only spots i know of to get consistant fire motes. Is there any other place i can go to in order to farm motes of fire? (primal fire costs 50 gold per 1 on my server, with the motes totleing 10 for 50 gold)

Shadowmoon Valley, right in the middle of the map, in the lava pits.
Pretty good spot, lots of elementals, not too crowded, not a PVP battlezone like elemental plateau.
I've farmed all my primal fires for my tailored gear in this spot, over 60 of them!

The Enraged Fire Spirits in Shadowmoon Valley also drop them - but I expect they are farmed too.

There are some fire elemental spawns in Blades Edge Mountains as well. I've been surprised sometimes to find them not too heavily farmed even when the competition at the other spots is getting fierce, though usually the Shadowmoon Valley spawns are better.

If you mine, they have a low drop rate from outlands mineral deposits.
As for another option, you can always farm up other types of primals and either trade/transmute... or even AH them and buy your fires off the AH.
Primal Mana's are remarkably easy to farm out in netherstorm, and they sell for similar prices than primal fires.

Um the place in blades edge is Skald and that is pretty farmed on my server. Shadowmoon valley had 5 times the elementals and a much larger farming space, with little competition. I got 2 primal fires in about 3 hours, not bad considering primal fire is tough to get.
I'll have to look at what the going rate on other primals are for selling on the AH (cash is scarse for me with leveling smithing on my pally and tailoring on my lock). At least my lock is also a 375 alchy so i could sell primal might transmutes.
Thanks guys

Correct, I got confused.

It's generally true that Shadowmoon valley is less farmed than the Skald, but not always true, that's the point I was trying to make. I'm seldom the only one farming primal fire in SMV, and when it's bad, it's really bad. Last time I tried farming there, the competition was overly energetic, and there were at least two other farmers in view at any given time.

Well. Skald and SMV are more ideal compared to elemental platue in nagrand. if i have to deal with people then so be it. At least it wont be as bad there. If it is then i can give em a taste of warlock farming.
"like your elemental farming huh? try this"

That is a problem that will seldom go away for long.
I have characters on TB too and the crowds just get worse.
Even moving to a low pop server only means it is low for now...soon it too will be overcrowded. I try to play only during off peak times but the competition is always fierce no matter when, where, ,or what I am farming.

Those are the best places, which is probably why they're so crowded- lots of stuff needs primal fire- as you're probably all too aware.
Miners can also get motes of fire, though it's more effort. I guess maybe if there are lots of veins unattended in off-peak hours while the elementals are still farmed, it might be worth a look. Otherwise, it's just a case of trying to find a quiet time to farm, and biting the bullet and coping with the dogpile. Sorry, but there doesn't seem to be a better way to do it.
