Tongue and cheek here.

Tonight I was getting into lvling up my new toon (i've been taking my time)...and I get a duel request from a 62...I always accept these ridiculous offers because I feel I'm filling some impotent mans dream of being the big guy in town...

So, recognizing that my lvl 5 against this lvl 62 has no chance I just stand there...one hit I'm dead...I've posted a screen shot of the follow comments he made....

this made my night.

I think he created the move I like to describe as 'Jump Noob Jump' where the individual constantly jumps around you in circles saying ' NOOB GOT PWNT! NOOB GOT PWNT'

i find his enjoyment of defeating a lvl 5 extremely interesting...it's almost like he feels that he truly won a great battle...Freud would love this.

Just laugh and try and put something along the lines of "And I suppose an over-endowed purer than pure plain old human is the real stuff of fantasy games?" Worked for me when I got comments like that. Toss a few withering comments about a lack of originality and they'll propably get annoyed and either resort to a tantrum or just be quiet.

/reported. I'd not click on that link, just out of safety's sake. It might turn out to be benign, but anything with login in the URL just seems needlessly dodgy.

oh got in before me I reported too.

I clicked the link as I have a lot of security on this PC - it's a fake wow login page, another scabby prick trying to steal your wow passwords.

Considering it has the words "wow/loginservice" in the URL, I would not click on it. Probably a key logger or something.

I have opera set to show the real link in status bar, which shows all of his fraudulent links for what they are (he's been posting randomly here & there on the forums).

One funny thing that happened today was a really cute lady gnome came up and well.... I love gnomes, so I said aww it's a GNOME!!!! And then we danced, I have a pic of this that I'll post later. Anyway she wanted to duel my friend and he was mocking her, so she says have fun in life as a sheep and keeps polymorphing him. Well i'm already rofling everywhere then the gnome wins. Instead of healing himself, he yells at me for laughing, but then a praticly level one monster says you no take candle, a kobald or something, and embarrassingly one hits him and he crumbles and screams. Then the gnome says omg.... now isn't that funny at all? My friend says it's not.

and I'm going to do that next time... just be all like " well I may be ugly, but at least I don't look like 50,000 other characters on here!" ... nice...i'll show them!

if u are referring to the link that was deleted i would suggest changing your wow password ASAP

as to the OP's screenshot.. the guy is techinically correct in what he is saying :grin:

Change your password to something COMPLETELY different RIGHT AWAY.

eee..i'm just an innocent girl who barely knows anything about computers :( I'm lucky I can even play warcraft! shame how the innocent are always struck upon...*sigh*...

I hope everything is ok...I'll be sad...very sad.....if it's not.
as soon as I go home. I'm going to change it!!!

You might be able to change it from the Account management page on the official site. If that's right you can do this from any web browser.

You should have challenged him to another duel and stated they he can't use any long cooldowns this time around. :grin:

Also, don't browse at 5 in the am, I clicked it as well without paying attention. Oh well changing passwords is easy from the main site.

I changed my password and it appears all is good!
this has taught me an excellent lesson - beware of internet!

man, it's just so hard for me to grasp the fact that people would steal accounts and such....I mean...it's a game! I guess I never really considered all those things you hear to be really really true...I always figured you'd have to be a complete noob to have that happen to you .. *ahem*...I know i'm not a COMPLETE noob...so they must be quite serious and tricky about how they go about doing their schemes..

but thank you guys for all your concerns! :) makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :)
