recipie: runed arcanite rod - how do I get it!?

Ok I've been to wowwiki and other than making a death run through timbermaw hold, I can swim up darkshore and drown in Moonglade waters - both painfully long trips for a non-druid Horde.

I've scanned the auction house for days on end and nobody had the recipie up for sale. Is is BoP or can I "/2 will someone in Moonglade please buy me the recipie for a tip?"

It is such an inconvenient place to go to, and the Lunar festival passed! So no free trip for me.

Level 53 currently, Belf Mage - she's already 291 enchanting so I've missed the opportunity to gain a "free" skill level by creating an arcanite rod - but I still need to create one eventually.

At 53 you can fight your way through the Timbermaw just fine unless you want to gain rep with them. If not then have a warlock put a soul stone on you and run/blink through......pot/healthstone (if you can get that off the lock as well)......die......rez when clear......eat and run/blink the rest of the way through.
I've ran through there with a hunter and pally in the mid 40's and didn't die.....and I just blasted my way through with my lock......and I'm still not friendly with Timbermaw since I did that.....lol

If you have a large group of mobs after ya you can frost nova them or break out your elemental if spec'd for it.

That run can actually be fun if you are just trying to survive and run through. Just put some Survivor in your stereo and BE the eye of the tiger :thumbsup:

what's wrong whit doing 2 quests, getting to the next reputation level whit the furbolg so they dont atack you any more and never have this problem again ?

you dont need to grind all the way to exalted ^^ just 2 quests, kill a few of the enemy critters, and be done whit it for good.

In truth? Travel Time. It's really out of my way to buy a single recipie to make a rod. I've done it before with my first mage and if the death run through the hold wasn't bad enough, the Night Shades around the town sent me packing - and when I did finally get there, I didn't have nifty coord mods or database websites so it took me a good while to find the dang NPC! Couple this with Felwood and Darkshore being helluva long zones to ride through. Just an experience I rather forget about y'know.

So is it bind on pickup or equip? I'd rather bribe a druid or someone in Moonglade already to buy it for me if I can.

Travel Time?

Do you plan on remaining 53 forever? You'll have to level somewhere before you hit 58 and travel to Outlands (assuming that's your plan).

Felwood and Winterspring have plenty of quests to accomplish that. You have to enter the Timbermaw cave to enter Winterspring or Moonglade, so I'm really not sure what your point is.

Unless you plan on just leveling in WPL / EPL... whih you'll be missing out IMO.

ok I guess the problem is, is that I'm power leveling my enchanting (at 291 already it's obvious) - and I have the mats sitting in the bank. I guess I can continue enchating away since I've already missed the free skill point and I shouldn't have trouble getting to 300 without an arcanite rod.

Yeah I'll shortly reach Felwood/Winterspring, just thought I could get the recipie sooner rather than a few levels from now.

I found the recipe in Moonglade. THANK YOU for this post. I had no idea where to go, and I'm glad I looked. I did see a recipe for the runned arcanite rog on the auction house, but I decided not to buy it because it was expensive. The recipe from Moonglade is Binds on Pickup though, so no one can buy one for you. :-( The cost of this recipe is 2gold 20silver.

I didn't need this rod until I hit level 315 in enchanting. But the skill level to learn this one is 290.

If you get a chance to port to Moonglade during a holiday, grab the flight plan! There are two there. One in Nighthaven that only takes you to Darnassus and one south of Lake Elune'ara (just off the road to the right)that will connect anywhere else you can currently fly to.

To create the rod you will need:

1 Arcanite Rod (made by a blacksmith)
1 Golden Pearl
10 Illusion Dust
4 Greater Eternal Essence
2 Large Brilliant Shards
1 Runned Truesilver Rod (your current rod)
