Ok so a friend of mine is going to be a maid of honour at her friends wedding. The friend getting married is a huge! WoW player and fan and I was wondering (as I dont play the game...at the moment) if anyone had any inside jokes or things that she could throw into the speech to get all the WoW players at the ceremony a chuckling?????
Any help is very much appreciated.
Cheers.

Have her say "ZOMG BARRENS CHAT FTW!!11!!!"
It's a sure crowd pleaser.
But seriously, you guys are bring WoW into someone's real-life wedding? Is she THAT into the game??? Will the people in attendance have a clue what is being said, or will only one guest laugh?

There's probably lots of plays on terms you could use; the one that springs to mind for me is the "Mind Control" spell. However, I'm guessing that there will be quite a few people there who won't understand WoW jokes, so, to be honest, I'd avoid them if I was in that situation because you'd get lots of people going "eh?".

If you are keen on including a wow joke - make a subtle indirect reference - such that non-players wont even release there was an intended joke and wow players will have a little chuckle.

Like they said, it really depends on how many WoW fans are in attendance. If not many, then almost any reference might not go over so well.
However, if you really want something...:azn:...At the exchanging of rings, when the bride puts it on the grooms finger, she could exclaim something like..
"Wow, look at the stats on that ring. +15 Stamina and +12 Intellect. That's going to be some honeymoon."

Say something about their rings being BoP.

A ring comment is a pretty good idea
"I was there when they got the rings, don't worry folks they're definantly epics"

"If she has moves like a female Night Elf, let the honeymoon begin!!"

That one is pretty good.
One thing that would help in determining a good phrase or "inside joke" would be to know if they are Horde or Alliance because that matters a little bit unless using non-faction related phrasing like what I list below.
BOP = Bind on Pickup - which within the game means that you and only you can pick up and use that item when it's offered to you . . . it binds to you when you pick it up / equip it (put it on - like BOP Rings, gloves, etc.
"WOOT!" just a term that is used alot ingame as a from of a cheer
"FTW or For The Win" - is used . . ."Marriage For The Win!" at the end of the speach
"Unfortunately she had to fly all the way to Moonglade to pick up her wedding dress" (or soemthing like this) - they actually sell a wedding dress in game and you can only get it in Moonglade
Something about an item being "epic" like mentioned above is good
try here for more ideas maybe

Agree with the concept...But....
I'd make it something on how much agility it has...thus making the honeymoon even more interesting. ;)

Wedding rings just need bonuses to Stam in order to make the honeymoon good.

Oh...the +stam, +int I referred to, was for the groom's ring.
+agility should definitely go on the bride's ring.

Or the bride's father instructs the priest to "Make it so."

Mention that the newlyweds are now officially 'soulbound'.

Subtle, and very good.

That's perfect.
Although, I can imagine her getting rid of him when she finds another one with better stats :azn:

Hopefully, he'll be a void crystal when the divorce lawyer disenchants him.
