FollowMe FollowTheLeader and AssistMe - do the still work?

I have been gone for several months. I use to love FollowMe (or FollowTheLeader) and AssistMe addons. They allow your character to automatically follow when when receive a /followme emote, and automatically assist when they receive the /attacktarget emote from another specified character. I reinstalled the game and addons, but cant get them to work.

Did Blizzard disable something that allowed characters to automatically act on emotes without key strokes. If they do still work, could anyone give me specific typed examples of how I should set up these macros. I thought I was following the directions, and tried several different methods, but cant get them to work.

I would imagine they did, as this violates their terms of service, and performs an action without direct user input.

That's the reason one of the auction mods was blacklisted. It automatically listed the items.

Mods can no longer execute the follow or assist commands, so they're gone for good, sorry. These and several other commands were removed to avoid "limited botting" and unfair mod usage, as they automated tasks that the player should have to do directly.
