Nope. WOW eats up too much time as it is :)
I could not imagine spending that much time/money on such an endeavor.
total geekdom lol

Maybe if it wasn't all the way over at the other end of the world -_-

Yea, I would have to fly to get there, and I bet the high school football team would be ready to mual me while I was on my knees acting like a gnome and they would steal my chocolate gold coins of me. Imagine reading that on a tombstone, lol, no offense to anyone but the games geeky enough for me now, lol.

I had been planning to go, but then my husband and I found the house we want to buy. So I can't really justify the expense this year.

I'll have to pass.

If they had one on the east coast maybe. I'm sure it will be fun but I can't justify spending several hundred $$$ on ticket, air fare, etc. to fly across the country for it.

where is it? I had heard that it was in Florida, is this right?

I know that there are many events that take place at the COEX in Seoul, Korea (that was where Blizz announced Starcraft2) and if that was the case I could be there.

Didn't we have another thread about this already? And wasn't Blizzcon on the 9th?

hmm i didn't now about a blizzcon. i've been to quakecon 3 times and really enjoyed it. too many wow addicts in one place may get interesting. but i would like to hear where it is and did i read right that they are "selling" tickets? that would definately make it a nogo. 'cons' are supposed to be free lol. at least quakecon always was.

I shall be attending... I guess there are some benefits from living in the same state Blizzard is (even if it is a 6hr drive down there).

I'd love to, but there is no way I can get to the States to attend this year.

I would if I lived in the States, but no way in hell would I pay for a trip to the USA from Europe just to go to Blizzcon. I'd rather go skiing somewhere in the South Hemisphere. :P

It was fun to be there last time, but I can't justify it this time...The crowd was too large for the number of things they had to do...

It was too cool being part of the beta team though....And the goodies and info were fantastic!

Hopefully, there will be more this year. However, this more or less is an excuse for my roommate and I to go to Anaheim and torture the other visitors in Disneyland.

I will be going yes. Only drawback? Flight from the UK but I can live with that, it was real fun last time. Hopefully catch up with some site folks again if you are going.

USA...too far away...

But a golden pig pet and a Murloc suit when attending there sounds so cute. :cloud9:

I'd go if it was on the East Coast.

I really wish Blizzard didn't have EVERYTHING in California. Most major businesses move these events from year to year, or have two in different locations.

Already bought the tickets (and my co-workers thought I was crazy for rushing to buy them, they sold out the next day) Fortunately, it is only about a 2 hour drive from here :D

or at least a more central location. quakecon has always been in texas which i thought was the best for such an event.

Look, the conventions that are given, by various organizations are based on who they know, what contacts they have, and where they are headquartered. Blizzard is based in Irvine, CA. Anaheim makes the most logical sense for them to set up shop in. If they move it anywhere else, the ticket prices would skyrocket (and further, no matter where it is help, it will be guaranteed that 80% if not more of the people around the world who are interested will complain)

poopsmcgee

well selling tickets is a problem imo also. quakecon has always been free lol.

Not going, don't like California and can't justify the expenses.
They should have it in Texas, central location plus the best place there is, period.
