Recommendation for AP Gear?

Could anyone recommend a piece of armor or weap that can add that kind of +AP for a hunter (cause wow that's a lot)? I've looked around and cant seem to find an item such as this that has this kind of huge AP boost. So any suggestions would be useful.

Gear is okay . . . not great though

You can see my AP is 1353 unbuffed with a bit under 1900 with self buff + trinket.

There isn't.

However... compare its weapon DPS to a normal 2hander weapon. Those would be around 100-105 DPS normally.

Since druids take no benefit from Weapon Damage, Blizzard substituted Feral Attack Power. Druids still get slightly shafted (base DPS in feral form is somewhat lower than what the base DPS of that weapon is), but it's a lot better than making a weapon with 240 Strength that only Druids can use.

No. The only reason druids get that sort of AP in feral forms on some weapons is to compensate for not being able to upgrade weapon dps.

Hunters need to get their AP up the normal way.

well right off the bat i notice some things....that necklace can go, not a hunter piece and you could easily get a "of the bandit" with 50 something attack power and agility at the same time. also the attack power on your pvp gear really isnt that hi. And one more thing you could get savagery enchant on your sonic spear which really is not an expensive enchant. here is my link...i have a lower crit rate because i seem to have trouble with threat..i was going for nice smooth dps over time so as not to pull aggro.

let me know what you guys think. Ps...not having a high crit chance sucks for pvp...and my stamina is also on the low side for pvp.

Yeah, our cat form weapon dps is somewhere around 55dps... which is nothing compared to the 2 handed dps weapons at level 70. We need to make it up with AP.

As for hunter gear... I can only tell you what my wife has said (she's the hunter in the family).

The one thing she keeps on too because she just can't find a better pair is her boots. Green quest reward from BeM Duro Footgear (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#item-info.xml?i=30273). It's got all the stats you want as a hunter.

You could also replace your cloak with either Cloak of Malice (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#item-info.xml?i=27519) or Cloak of the Inciter (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#item-info.xml?i=27892)

Or if you can stand the farming, and find a tailor who will part with a primal nether (and has the recipe) Vengence Wraps (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#item-info.xml?i=24259).

You have an interesting choice of a neck piece... I can only assume you're going for PvP? There are many better hunter PvE necks than that... it's more of a tanking piece. A good cheap choice is Pendant of Cunning (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31147) which you can buy off the AH for cheap.

Other than gear... enchants enchants enchants. for 90g you can pop a glyph of ferocity on your head... get assault to breacers/gloves (stupidly cheap... like 6 arcane dust). Put a scope on your bow... even a deadly/sniper is better than nothing. There's a good cobra scale leather working enchant to pants for some decent agi/ap as well... although cobra scales are hard to farm, so it'll be kinda pricey.

Oh yeah like dreamofwkx said, put savagery on your spear. You're gonna have that thing until R&J decide to drop you their pole arm (Legacy?)

Yes that neck is a BG/PVP Neck that I wear for the stam - you'd see my stam rings to but I had left them in the bank before I did an EOTS before logging last night.

My normal Neck is

Natasha's Choker
Binds when picked up
Neck
Equip: Improves hit rating by 10.
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 15.
Equip: Increases attack power by 50.

And I have another +AP trinket that I occasionally use but the procs on the Mark have saved my life sometimes (literally that little +170 Heal tick lol)

And yes, I do need some enchants ( as I have none really) and some other things like a new scope (got valono's bow recently and just haven't reattached one). Though it would help me to purchase new items for the Huntard if I'd stop sliding my 3 main alts 20 G every few days lol
