Okay, where or what is the Apexis Crystal Infusion? I have more than 50 shards, I want to use this thing on the off-chance for those epic BoE bracers.

And I can't find any info on the damn thing.

"Depleted" items have a chance to drop of any mob in the area. Should probably do a wowwiki search on ogri'la and skyguard.

Yeah, the only "depleted" item I've gotten is the Depleted Crystal Focus. Guess I'll have to farm for the bracers one day.

They only drop during an event, check the wikki

The depleted items have a really rare drop rate. Only a couple of the badges have been seen on my server. People are selling them for like 1k gold.

In a nutshell:

Various "depleted" items drop from mobs in the two plateaus in Blade's Edge Mountains that can only be accessed by flying. They can drop from anything there, but they are more common from the summoned creatures that require a group to kill. These mobs also drop Apexis Shards. If you're lucky enough to get an unequippable "depleted" item (such as the Depleted Cloth Bracers you seek), then you simply right-click to use it, it will consume 50 Apexis Shards and it will turn into Crystalweave Bracers, which IS equippable.

I've been farming trash and doing the Ogri'la daily quests for weeks, trying to get a depleted badge for the Badge of Tenacity, but I haven't got it yet. I've seen a depleted dagger from a summoned demon in the northern forge camp, and I got depleted mail gauntlets from a trash demon in the southern forge camp. I have nearly 750 Apexis Shards, and over 40 Charged Crystal Focus (consumes 10 Apexis Shards, used in the Shartuul event)

Apexis Crystal Infusion is the "spell" which consumes Apexis Shards to convert a depleted item into a usable one.

Thanks very much Naedea.

Just when I thought the Netherwing grind was tedious. I was happy to get that out of the way.

But now this... *cries*

What else are you going to do? And why do you want those cloth bracers so badly?

Compare:

Crystalweave Bracers
Binds when equipped
Wrist Cloth
78 Armor
+16 Intellect
Red Socket
Socket Bonus: +2 Spell Damage
Durability 35 / 35
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 12.
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 23.

TO:

Bracers of Havok
Binds when equipped
Wrist Cloth
67 Armor
+12 Intellect
Yellow Socket
Socket Bonus: +2 Spell Critical Strike Rating
Durability 30 / 30
Requires Level 69
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 30.

Havok has a little less int and a less crit, but +5 more overall +dmg (after socket bonus)

You can get some havok bracers made for under 100g easily.. I would consider the epic cloth a sidegrade at best. Not worth the time invested for sure, if you get them just as a drop that would be great, but I can't see how they are worth grinding for.

Hmm. Maybe I'll stick with the Havoc (which I currently have), and throw a +9 gem into it. More damage with less mana is better in my opinion.

Thanks for the comparison.

my first trip to forge camp wrath dropped me the bracers but trying to find a player on my server to buy them is a different matter. they dropped of random trash mobs. but a few in my guild have got a lot of the depleted gear from the consortium prison at bashirs landing. after getting 5 key drops they open a cell and call an elite

I've been doing the daily quests awhile, and got the depleted badge of tenacity - put the shards in and gave it to a druid in my guild for free :D

Raemaar, you are a kind person to your guildies... and I'm sure you made one VERY happy druid.

the epic pvp bracers are also at least as good as the crystalweave bracers. At least for a mage who also needs crit.

Indeed, the primary redeeming feature of Depleted gear is that it's BoE both in depleted and restored form, and thus can be sold or given away. Why, thanks to a generous (and lucky) warlock guildmate, my paladin is now a proud owner of a Crystalforged Sword.

Crystalweave Bracers give melee/ranged crit right now, I believe, not spell crit.

no spell crit. a mage in my guild was jumping for joy when i gave him my find
