Attumen Bugged last night

Our raid zoned into kara and went directly to work on attumen. Instead of mounting midnight at a certain % as he always does midnight simply vanished...

PooF!

Attumen was still there, so we decided to go ahead and down him. At a certain percentage he used the emote "come midnight!" and he vanished as well. Combat ended and the battle was over. We were not saved to the instance and received 0 loot.

We opened a ticket, at this time we weren't sure what to do. I suggested getting a little rep and going down to do the animal boss just for fun as we didn't have anything better to do. I was thinking he would respawn and didn't want to have the same problem with moroes.

We downed the animal boss, collected some void crystals and still no attumen..and none of the trash on the way to him had respawned.

The ticket was still unkown time, so I decided to have everyone zone out, leave the raid and I started re-invites.

We zoned back in, the entire instance was reset. We downed attumen again this time he behaved correctly. We only spent about 1 hour doing all of this, but felt like we should end it there and give it a go again tonight and hope that things were a little smoother.

I master looted a Valet in Kara and it had [Pattern: Soulcloth Vest]. During discussion, someone pulled an add.

I picked up the add, we killed it, blah

Went back to the valet.... no loot cursor =( Just a body.

No one <recieved blah> in the chat box. Wasn't in my inventory.

Tried changing the loot setting. Tried leaving and comming back in.

It was just "gone". Filled out a ticket for the hellofit, but as expected, they couldn't help.

No real biggie though.

we had that with the mongoose recipy from moroes, however i found it in my mailbox 2 days after , after making a ticket

Tank Attumen in LoS of Midnight - it's a known issue and one that can easily be avoided if your tank doesn't tank him in the wrong spot.

Furthermore, you can 'soft-reset' the instance as long as you haven't killing any bosses yet. Disband raid, let a new person (or even someone who wasn't in the raid before yet) invite. Et voila, brand spanking new Attumen.

He was LoS, or I believe he was. We've downed him quite a few times with this group (was the only boss we could down for a long time) and we downed him the exact same way the 2nd time without the error.

We guessed LoS as well, but I don't believe that was the case. In fact, after we killed the animal boss he re-appeared when we reset (I didn't think you could reset the animal boss) so I was assuming something was screwy before we reset it.


Can you farm the animal boss using a soft reset? I don't believe you can.

Curious, which approach to take when addressing the GM on this

I mean, our GM straight up blew us off; said he can't verify whether or not it really dropped, so he cant give it to anyone.

Again, its just a pattern. But ya, im suprised.

They know what dropped, they have full logs of everything.

Hummm then why were we denied? Strange.

Every so often you get a GM that's had a bad night or is just generally dodgy that doesn't want to deal with you and your problems. I find this irritatingly common when you're trying to get loot back.

I'm just speculating, but I imagine they have to go digging through server logs and then fill out some paperwork before you can get your item, and sometimes they just don't want to.
