Looking for lots of game help!!!

OK so names Sam, been playin for three months and just learned about this thing called add-ons. I downloaded a few, put them in my WoW Interface folder, now how do I make them work in-game???:ponder:

Not a programmer, just a WoW addict and BTW this game rules.

I was also a D2 Junkie, and the wife aggro is much more heated now...lol

Ok, the first thing to check is that you have them in the right folder. Each AddOn should be in it's own subfolder out of AddOns. To quote Xinh:

Interface
- AddOns
-- Your AddOn's folder
--- Your AddOn's files and subfolders

Example using Bagnon

Interface
- AddOns
-- Bagnon (the Bagnon folder)
--- Bagnon.lua
--- Bagnon.toc
---Bagnon.xml

Like that. When you launch the game then, if the addons are detected, you will have a [AddOns] button in the bottom left of your character selection screen. You can en/disable addons there.

Once you've logged in, various addons will have various ways to enable / manipulate them. Usually this is covered in the Readme.txt that comes with them.

So how far did you get with getting them up and running?
