Failed Mod Attempt - Mod Idea for Others?

I Attempted to Write a Mod - I found out something very important today regarding this - I suck at it. ;)

Not sure if mod request/ideas are frowned upon or not, But seeing as how I don't see myself being able to do this, It'd be great if someone did. I haven't found anything like it -

There's a lot of mods like EqCompare and such to view an item and what you're wearing at the same time - But what if you aren't wearing it?

What I ATTEMPTED to do was create 2 slots (think of how StanceSets looks) that you can drag 2 items into and it'd display the stats of both items side by side. I FIGURED it'd be fairly simple to do, but for someone unexperienced .. I was wrong. ;)

Another idea that my friend had provided for it was to have it actually show what your stats are while wearing it.

I too would like to see EquipCompare show what is on my character AND what is in my bags, because I have 2 partial sets of gear, one for solo and one for healing. I suggested it on the Blizz forums but nobody went for it. Writing such an addon is beyuond my current abilities.

I'm half convinced I've heard of a mod that does that. Don't recall where though, but I would love something like that.

MultipleTips will show multiple tooltips. Not quite what you're asking for but it might help, depends on what you're trying to do exactly.

What I'm trying to accomplish (or now try to find someoen else to accomplish it - lol)

Is to basically make EqCompare - But allow me to select what two items it's showing so that I can check items that I'm not necessarily wearing.

I'll check out MultipleTips to see if that'll do what I'm looking for!

Like the others, not exactly sure what you're looking for, but try those out. Any comparisons I've ever needed to do I've been able to accomplish with these 2.
