Okay.
I was browsing through my old PM's and saw a few requests for bringing Battlepix back to the forums. So, here we go.
Normally this is mainly reserved for the Pal forum. Why? There is far less chance people will abuse the thread. A thread where pictures are posted is always a big risk on a public forum. I'm willing to give it a go though, which means I am putting my trust in your hands.
But just to be on the safe side, let's go over some ground rules:
1) What is Battlepix? If played right, it's a very fun forum game. People post pictures, and other people post a reply to them with another picture, but only so that the second picture "beats" the previous one. Example:
http://parenting.leehansen.com/downloads/clipart/christmas/thumbnails/cute-snowmanth.jpg
http://img.timeinc.net/instyle/images/v2/products/october/092905_t3overnight_01c.jpg
The blow dryer melts the snowman. A following picture could be, for instance, a bath tub filled with water, or a sign indicating an electric breakdown, in any case a picture that would wtfpwn the blow dryer.
Note: it gets funny when you "exaggerate" in your pictures, if you go a bit over the top, rather than posting the most logical follow-up all the time. A blow dryer in the example above is a bit funnier than the sun, for instance. Other example: Trojan wooden horse --> termites --> anteater. Much funnier than: wooden horse --> fire --> water.
Tag lines are also appreciated, of course.
2) No posts without a relevant picture please. I know you spamrabbits reside in the OTF, so I'm warning beforehand. Any posts without a picture will be deleted. You're free to post comments to other people's pics, but accompany them with a picture of our own.
3) Not required, but it's better if you use a free upload service for your pictures. Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) is a good one.
4) HAVE SOME COMMON SENSE OF DECENCY WHEN POSTING PICS !!!!! I cannot stress this enough. Heck, I wish we had the option to blink text with BB code. Even now that I have mentioned this, I know for a fact that I will still have to remove bad taste pics - if I have to do this too often, thread gets closed and no more battlepix for the next 20 years. As I said, I am trusting you guys with this, don't let me down.
That's it, for now, but these rules are subject to change at any time and without notice, so regularly check this first post again.
