Finally finished all the patching and it runs!

Now, my Dwarf Hunter is up to lvl 4, and I have a really basic question. The UI is pretty complex so I'm sure I'm missing something here, but once you have completed the requirements of a quest how do you find your way back to the NPC that gave you the quest to turn it in?

Is there a way to get a pointer on the mini-map, in a similar way to the Corpse pointer when you're killed?

Also what's the best way to get a few people around to join you with questing? I need to get a journal from a cave, can handle one mob at a time but when two engage me they overwhelm me and I can't win?

Thanks from teh n00b :)

When you get close to the person that gave you the quest, they'll appear as a yellow dot on the minimap.

And you could ask in General chat.

hit 'Enter' then type
/1 Hi. Could anyone help me please with [Quest Name]

You can form a party by selecting someone and then right clicking on their portrait -> Invite.
Or, type /invite [Name]

Please don't invite people out of the blue though.

You can chat in party chat with /p (instead of the /1) and regular chat will normally be in /s

Or you could let the quest wait a bit and do a few others, there's nothing wrong with waiting till you hit lvl 5 or even 6 first.

OK thanks. I guess because I'm in the starting area other players are just finding their feet rather than wanting to help me out!

Seems that keeping track of multiple quests and where they finish is a bit of a pain though..

No worries, you'll get used to it soon enough =)

And the quest descriptions help you at times as well:
"Bring 5 frozen bear butts to Some Dwarf in Anvilmar" for example
That way you can hit the map [M button] and look where Anvilmar is and walk that way.

Just to warn you, chance of getting a group for a quest that isn't flagged as a group-, elite-, or dungeon-type quest is quite low, so often getting a few lvls and then soloing it will actually be faster..

Looking at the bright side, there's quite a few of the group/elite quests that hunters can solo before other classes can do them with a full group, using a combination of abilities, which you haven't got yet. Once you've got a pet it'll all get far easier so be sure to do the quests from your trainer (think it's from your trainer anyway) as soon as you hit lvl 10.
