Aye, but wouldn't you prefer all the dribble to be contained in a single spot on the forums as opposed to spreading throughout even more than it is now? I for one am sad to see it close. No longer can the mods just say, "Take all this idiot-talk and put it somewhere useless, like the Ana thread."

I know that, if it wouldn't be for the spam, it would be a rather dead place, but lately it's getting ridiculous. A few people have reduced it to... drivel, indeed.

I'm reluctant somehow to close this thread though, for the exact same reason Stigg mentions already.

I'm wondering how many of the people who come here for World of Warcraft news and discussions feel driven away by the drivel. It's certainly spread across the forums and is no longer contained in the Off Topic forum alone. You can almost guarantee that any reply by a certain number of people will be off topic, of a sexual nature and not at all related to the prime purpose of these forums. Thankfully there are ignore lists, but it makes reading the actual valuable bits of the site incredibly difficult when you have to skip over those post dividers all the time.

there really are a infinte wow info. and seriously if someone actualy does it all that info can be organized and updated into main page and we dont even need this forum except for a few brief threads everytime a patch comes out.

the forums is a community and eventually you get to know ppl and their RL friends and family, and i'm sorry if someone's joking greeting of another forum member isnt wow related enough to benefit and further your growth of wow knowledge, oh wait that's right i'm on ignore list :D

WOW has always been interesting to me, and there are always posters who i personally find annoying but i always consider all of them part of the community. i guess if uncle fred or aunt nancy are embarassing you'd just as well pretend u dont know them either? whatever works for you :) maybe i am an idiotic rambling selfish moron full of useless drivels are maybe you've become some self-righteous ________ that you're accusing me of :p
