My guild is split in 2 parts, 1-40's & 40+'s. We have a chat channel so we can communicate between the 2 guilds.
Just lately we've been getting ex-guildies (who have been kicked) still using the channel. Also, someone thinks its funny to mute everyone O.o

Is there a way to stop them automaticly becoming chat admin? (besides phisically handing over power before logging off)

Is there a way to permanently keep them out of a channel? (we've tried password but i'm guessing someone's leaked it)

How do you unmute the whole channel?

We would start up a new channel but a.) we have over 250 members and its a big upheaval & b.) whoever's leaking the password would surely do it again?

I've had a look on the web for the commands i'm just unsure of whats possible & whats not.

change guilds now.

If you are in a guild that thinks it normal to have 2nd class members based on their level then you need to move on.

Yes, I got that it's 2 guilds.

Basically you are in a feeder guild and are hoping to move on to the 'main one'.

Chat Commands

/#, /c, /csay - Send text to channel # (e.g. /1 Hi!).

TBH, most people decide to stay in the lower guild (like me, im lvl 49 & have no intention of moving up).

Thanks for the info, things seem to be sorted for now

Are you talking about an IRC channel?

I believe they are just talking about a regular chat channel. You can create these yourself. My guild (which is rather small and casual) allied itself with several other similar guilds and we created a common alliance channel so we could easily party up with each other for quests and instances when our guilds were short handed.

Unfortunately, (I think this is how it works) the first person logging on, or last one left in it becomes the moderator. Which makes it rather difficult to moderate if you have people who want to cause problems.

Ah, ok. If it was mIRC then I maybe could help some.
