(As Jaed said below, this would be better in its own thread so I split it off into one - Tunga)

Having a few problems with my addons and I beg to thee that you can help (lol?) Basically I have extracted them to my interface addons folder I load up WoW and In addons there is nothing but previously installed auctioneer. What could be causing this?

Thanks,

Moncai

This isn't a free-post topic. This is a topic with a single purpose: posting UI screenshots. If you have UI-related questions, you can open a new topic for them.

Nevermind then guess I will just go mod free. Don't worry about it.. Nice to see forums welcoming new members.. Oh wait.

I'm looking out for the community here. When you clutter topics with off-topic discussion or discussion that's better handled elsewhere the forums can get really ugly. It's better to handle this in its own topic, that way you can have more focused answers, and anyone looking for this info in the future may come acros your topic.

My advice is to go through the Sticky that details how to install mods (http://wow.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372130). The most common mistake is to unzip the folder into Interface\Addons. Most mods are wrapped in a version number folder, so you end up with:

Interface\AddOns\ModName v2.11\ModName\ModName.toc, etc.

You want that to be:

Interface\AddOns\ModName\ModName.toc etc.

Hopefully its not because I've knackered my WoW folder (pun intended!)

Is that a word? lol

Yes, it means tired. Although it refers back to the work of a knacker, a person who buys old / worn out things (livestock / structures) and then slaughters / dismantles them to sell the bits and bobs.

Edit:
That structure looks okay Shadatlol, but what happens when you run WoW?

Now that I have un-installed Auctioneer what I think could of been causing a clash, nothing.. any Ideas?

The O in your AddOns folder should be capitalized.

Edit: I believe all the inidividual Ace2 modules have to be packaged in the Ace2 folder.

Edit: Oh, right, I think they can be left that way, but it'll be hard keeping them up-to-date.

Windows file systems are not case sensitive, AFAIK. So no, it shouldn't really have made a difference. What errors are you getting - are none of your AddOns loading? Do you even get the AddOn button?

No no I don't..

Could you perhaps be a little bit less monosyllabic in your responses? It's difficult to work out what your problem is and where you are stuck and what is happening if you only give really short answers like that.

My advice would be - clean out the mods, download one, simple mod and get it working. Once you've got that you can build from there.

Sorry I guess thats me short and to the point :) Will clean out and tell results..

Ok after wiping it and inputting new mods till nothing think it could be to do with my WTF or WTB folders as they are empty, is this normal?

Thanks,

Moncai

Silly question, but did you install WoW to the default location.

I ask this because the default location is c:\program files\world of warcraft\

And if you are not getting any config files in the WTF folder at the c:\world of warcraft\wtf then possibly you are installing addons in the wrong folder.
And if you completely delete your WTF folder, you should not have to create another because WoW does it for you.

I know it sounds stupid, but looking at your screen shots, and the fact that you are not getting anything in your WTF folder, there has to be a path problem somewhere.

So look into program files and see if you have another WoW folder, please.

Right click your WoW shortcut that you use to load the game, go to Properties and click on Find Target. Where does that take you?

It is the other thread, lol, he has WoW in program files. Probably should lock one thread or something so that there is no confusion.
