i have herb almost maxed out and i just got my alchemtist stone, im also a 50 rogue. i dotn know at this point if i should drop alchemy cause i don't see how i can make money wit it and just pick up enchanting. i think i can farm low lvl instances for most of the greens and blues and get it pretty high and then just DE quest items that are usless to me. Whats the usefullness and money making ability of alchemy and enchanting how do make money with both and which would be much more useful for a rogue.

Both are useful to a rogue at end-game, when you get epic chants you can do on yourself, or discover good flask recipes. However, I would say alchemy would be a better idea, especially if you go master of transmutes. Do free transmutes and keep the procs to sell. Easy money with no farming involved.

I don't know many/any enchanters who have/can make money with enchanting.

If you do, it will occur a long time after you level it up and it will come from DIS-enchanting not enchanting.

If you have alchemy with that skill level, keep it. Go xmute master and get some rare xmutes like primal earth to water, mana to fire and do them every day when you get to that level.

Don't drop it for enchanting, enchanting will cost you considerably to level.

this very true, but rgirty might not know that the amount of money you can make is HUGE and I mean H U G E

you only have to check your server prices for strange, soul, vision, dream and illusion dust.. then check the prices of random green items.. then you need to know how much dust you get per item (addons can tell you that) do some math..... and get rich.

Imho DISenchanting is by far the best moneymaker in the entire game..

Also keep in mind the the Alchemists stone requires 350 alchemy to receive it's benefit, or to equip it at all. If you drop alchemy, bye bye all those primals/diamonds/mights/transmutes you had to scavenge.

I had a super mana pot crit for me the other night while dueling the Prince in Kara... was my 2nd pot, so I was very low on mana (hunter) - it took me from about 300 mana to 7000 ish - I was suddenly at 95% mana - it's a beautiful thing!

(too bad the prince is only 25% skill and 75% luck...those damned infernals!)

WAITAMINIT - you're a level 50 rogue that is revered with the Shatar? Something smells like fish in here...

I suspect he means the Philosphers Stone which is the one that allows transmutes and not the upgraded Alchemists stone.
