Starting up again...wondering what mods you guys use

hey everyone I am starting up again and I am just wondering what are some common mods most people use.

PitBull - Featureful, powerful Unit Frame addon.
FuBar - Featureful, powerful utility bar (requires modules).
Cartographer - Featureful, powerful full-map mod.
CowTip - Vastly enhanced tooltips with a full re-formatted display.
ElkBuffBars - Timer bars for buffs and debuffs.
Violation - Combat log including damage/healing and threat meter.
Talented - In-game talent template editor.
Postal - Enhanced mailbox features.
Scrolling Combat Text - The thing Blizz ripped of. :grin:

I am probably 95% Ace2 now, was about 98% but have reverted back to non Ace for a few mods.

Ace2 (http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Main_Page) is a library to assist authors in development. That's basically it. Users see no benefits from it except fairly consistant settings format and the ability to update addons from a single source.

I've been looking at MSBT and it looks damned amazing compared to SCT.

I just tried CowTip and it is so much better than the default one. Ever since I ditched moveanything Ive been looking for a good movable tooltip addon.

I'm guessing he's going to make a thread about it when it's in a usable state but based on Carto, Pitbull, CowTip, etc, this should be awesome :) .

Been looking forever for a combat text addon that had the features I needed to integrate it into my existing UI. Based on ckknight's past track record, this could very well be it. Thanks for the heads up.

I ditched Sct/Sctd awhile back because of MSBT, way better IMO.
I like CK mods, they are excellent mods, and I will check out his new combat text mod when he puts it out on beta, but I will have a hard time replacing MSBT.


And Cowtip is probably the best Tip addon by far. Man I love the way I can configure my Tips to show exactly what I want and look the way I want.

Looking like very early Alpha. Definately not ready for normal use. I skimmed the changelog and the files. It's definately way too early.

But I'm excited as hell. Hopefully it'll enter Beta just in time for my UI remake.

Yeah, it doesn't even have a settings menu in place yet, some numbers flew out at funny angles but there's no way to customise anything, so very early alpha is about right.
