I've seen it before but i forgot what it was called
what i want it to do is when you shift click and item at the vendor and want to buy alot
there was a mod that you could type in the number you wanted
does anyone know where i can find a mod like that?

Not a mod... part of the game. Doesn't work on items sold in stacks, but you can just shift click on something at a vendor, a popup appears and you can type in any amount up to one stack (usually 20, but varies on the item)

ya i get that popup i know it's part of the game
but it won't let me type in a number
only hit the arrows
there used to be a mod that allowed you to type the number you wanted

Still is, the mod is BuyEmAll. Especially nice for filling a hunters ammo bag/quiver with two clicks. Or two stacks of reagents for my spells with 4 clicks.
And yes, the built in popup does allow you to enter a number if you click there, but the number can't be greater than a single stack.

If you're buying things on a regular basis try out FreeRefills (http://files.wowace.com/FreeRefills/FreeRefills.zip). It auto-buys predefiend items for you when you visit a vendor that can sell them. (I recommend adding the item to the DB as singles and not stacks. For 5 stacks of arrows, add 1000 single arrows and not 5 actual stacks, as the behaviour is much better. [You'll see what I mean when you browse the options: command-line "/freerefills".])
