The patch 2.2 is just getting downloaded in parts ... but never applied as it is not finalized yet.

How come you need Administrative rights for downloading it?

In WoWFolder/Patches ... you should check whats in 2.1 to 2.2 ... the file that the patch have downloaded must have been corrupted or something. Delete it or move it to another folder and then try to start the updater again. It should start downloading again. See if that works!

I have Vista myself, try rightclicking the short cut you use to launch the game and then select "Run as Administrator."

That should fix things.

- That is if the OP is running Vista too.

One of the worst things that happened with vista is the over-security. One of the first things people do is ask how to turn off the never ending prompts.

It is like the company who requires users to have a 10char password consisting of upper case/lowercase and at least 2 digits.

The user creates the password, writes it on a sticky note and attaches it to his monitor.

The password is so difficult that it eliminated security.

The OS should assist you with using the computer, not hinder you.

I've been running vista for 8 months, it needs help.
