I found this the other day when browsing the net. I don't think it has enough value to be put up as news, but it is definetly good enough to reccomend others to read it.

5 Tips for a Long Lived Guild (http://www.thedirtyhordes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4412)

Actually very good reading for the Guild Master or the general member who just want to be in a good guild.

Edit:
Post no 100

I think I'm lacking number 4, I almost never group with my guild. While questing that is.

I'm kinda on the fence about number four as well. Grouping with guildies can be fun even for non-elite questing, however there are times when I just want to do it myself and feel like the other person is slowing my questing pace down. I don't know, maybe I'm just too used to doing all non-elite quests solo.

Hmm I've always been in a weird place with guilds. Every guild or clan or group or clique or faction I've ever been in has really just been me, three or four of my friends, and a ton of alts. I guess this is because really I like to solo when it's the best thing to do, and it's the best thing to do for as far as I've ever gotten (41 Warlock and rising!). If I ever make it to the big leagues, I think I might try a "real" guild out and see how it goes, if I can get into one. Those four friends will still be on my "first to whisper when signing on" list, however :afro:

Solid link. It's close to front page stuff. I used to publish similiar stuff when it was good enough like this.

Thats pretty much how I feel. Its fun to quest with someone, but i'm so used to doing everything myself. I should probably make more of an attempt to help that holy priest in our guild level.

Thing is, I'm usually on for only half an hour during the company lunch break. By the time I'd get a group together my time'd be up.

Occasionally I have a couple of hours to burn and then I'll get an instance group together asap. Guildies rarely have time when I do.

Once did we organise a 'ZF - run fridaynight at 20h00'. It took 1.5h to assemble everyone. If my wife hadn't been in the group too I'd been given the 'stare and sigh' long before that. Granted, it was a very fun run. But halfway the baby started crying and we had to pause for a bit.

Long way of saying: Running w guildies isn't meant for me (yet).
