View Full Version : How many of you will make a 70 for each class?

I only have one 70 and I've been playing my other toons, the second highest is 58 and the lowest is 34. I suppose I just want to try and have a 70 for each class. I've been playing since 11/06 and I'm married and work full time. My goal is to make it to 70 before 11/07 with all the other toons.
Any one else working to achieve the same objective, that is, to have a level 70 of each class?

Well, I definately have a character of each class... So I assume I should all get them to 70 eventually, if I keep playing until then. It's not my ultimate goal in the game though, although I don't know what that is.

Same here. I'm at three 70s, a 67, a 63, and everyone else is in the teens or twenties.

I enjoy levelling and have a few characters:
All Horde on al'akir EU
70 holy priest
70 bm hunter
63 combat swords rogue
53 arms warrior
My warrior will be my last to level into the outlands tho, i dont think i can level another character from 1

I enjoyed Hunters so much, I started one on Horde and now have:
63 Hunter
60 Warrior
54 Hunter
45 Pally
Daughter has 40 Rogue, and I play that sometimes for change. I have no ambition to get more than these to 70. Leveling is fun, but I only like these classes. If anything, I will level another pally on a friends realm.

I plan to get all of the gear I possibly can on my warrior before starting an alt. My play style is to stick to one character until I get all of the best gear I can. Getting a character of each class to 70 would take me years.
I am certainly playing EVERY class, but to 70....that is really not happening.

Not happening.
There's no way I'll ever get a Paladin to 70. Every other class... sure. No paladins though.

There's a couple of guys in my old guild who have a character for each class. One of them has 7x level 70's and a 48 Warlock and 45 Paladin.
The other guy has 7x level 70's as well, but doesn't have Warlock / Paladin chars afaik.
I think they leveled their multitude of Alts using rested XP for the most part.

Ya I like leveling better than some level 70 stuff feels like a job at level 70 when raid gotta be on at this time farm this stuff. Find it really hard to do good in this game and raid and be casual:(

Got:
70 Shaman
70 Druid
70 Warlock
70 Belf Paladin
64 Warrior
65 Dwarf Hunter
Got numerous other lower level alts between 30 and 50 and they will probably reach 70 eventually. Generally I find leveling more fun than the grinding at 70.

I have a level 70 healer (holy priest), a level 70 DPSer (fire mage), and a level 70 tank (prot paladin).
Having the Role Trinity covered, I see no burning reason for levelling the rest of my characters to the cap.

I have
70 Warr
53 Warlock
43Mage
34 Priest

I met a guy with two accounts yesterday and he power-leveled himself by using one account to the other. It is pretty boring to sit back and watch him clear up the whole instance - his alt and I just picked up the loots.
To the topic, I had one 70 rogue on a pve serve and I am working on leveling another rogue and a priest to 70 on a pvp server. Like many ppl, I found it more fun to level than the end-game grinding.

Well, I'm still working my main up to L70 (L55 NE Druid atm). In the mean time though I'm helping my wife's hunter keep up with me (L48 NE), playing a Gnome Mage (L37), a Tauren Warrior (L28), a Dwarf Paladin (L26), a Human Warlock (L24), a Troll Priest (L22), a Tauren Shaman (L20) and a Forsaken Rogue (L13). I also have every class duplicated on the other faction on another server except the Druid.
The one's I've mentioned will probably continue being higher level than their faction-opposites but they're all gradually increasing in level. Realistically I'll probably only get to Outland with my main and my mage (and my wife's hunter off course, but that's not MY char).

I got a rogue and priest at 70 and now working on a hunter, but I doubt anymore classes will follow. Not enough time I'm afraid :p I would like to sure.

Like many others here I enjoy leveling the characters a lot.
So far have:
70 resto Shaman - main
70 warlock
70 rogue
70 hunter
61 mage
60 warrior - going to be my tank
The remainders fill out the classes so I do have at least 1 of each, but it will take some time if I choose to get all of them to 70. Though it would be a nice personal challenge.
For those that say they would like to but don't have time, just remember stay full rested and know which quests/areas to play.

I will never have a 70 of each class. I don't have the time or desire to do it. When the expansion came out, I had gotten 4 toons to level 60 (rogue, druid, warlock, priest). It was all I could stand to level my last toon to 60.
Since expansion I've gotten my rogue and druid to level 70 and have equipped both of them reasonably. My warlock remains at level 60, though I've dabbled a bit with leveling him. I'll probably eventually take him to level 70. My priest though... I believe is retired. I simply didn't like the priest class.

5 level 70 so far. Priest, Hunter, Mage, Warrior and Druid. Will slowly level the others (Warlock, Rogue, Shaman, Paladin). At least I will know the abilities of the other classes.

I have 2 70's Ret Pally and 44aff/17demo Lock
lvl 40 Sub Rogue
lvl 33 holy Priest
and a bunch of 13's to 25's.
Essentially I'm to get them all the trades and recipes.
Blacksmithing/weaponsmith is @ 341 (lvl 70 Pally = most recipes to that lvl)
Tailoring is @ 363 (lvl 70 Lock = most recipes to that lvl)
Enchanting is @ 356 (lvl 70 Lock = most recipes to that lvl)
Alchemy is @ 220 ish (lvl 23 FDruid = most recipes to that lvl)
Engineering is @ 220 ish (lvl 23 Amage = many recipes of that lvl)
JC'n is @ 150 (lvl 13 shammy, not many recipes)
Leatherworking is @ 220 ish (lvl 40 SRogue = mid amount of recipes)

I have a 63 Pali after playing the game for over a year. My interest is waning and I'll be happy as heck if I can get her to 70. My next lewest toon is a 27 UD lock that I havent played in weeks. I don't see myself putting the time into the game required to get multiple toons up to that level.
Leandar
17-07-2007, 08:12 PM
70 Hunter
28 Druid
26 Mage
14 Rogue
14 Shaman
8 Warlock
Hunter is my main, raiding karazhan with him. I am leveling my druid when I'm not doing netherwing quests and I plan to get him to 70. I only play my mage if I'm grouped with a friend because I cant fight 2 mobs at my level so I really doubt he will ever see a mount. Shaman will be leveled higher after my warlock. My rogue is basicly the same as my mage except I solo with her and have given up for now. I will probably level my watlock to 70 after my druid. I still need to make a pally, warrior, priest. I dont think I'll make a warrior, I might make a priest and I will probably make a pally at some time but no plans to level one yet.

I'd like to level an alt to 70, but I feel like I would not be optimizing my main if I did.
There is always something productive to do with my main, I've started to make several alts...just never follow through.

I have a character for each class (and each race), but my two 70's right now are both hunters. I have a 60 druid, a 44 warlock, a 38 warrior, a 30 paladin, and the rest are level 24. When I have the time, I work on one of them.

Definitely not. I don't like to play hunters and warriors.
Next to that I'm a belf fan, although I'm going to make a tauren druid one of these days!
I am currently sitting on the following:
70 UD Warlock
70 UD Mage
70 UD Rogue
70 Tauren Hunter
61 Tauren Warrior
42 Orc Shaman
34 UD Priest
I have a 22 drood and a 11 pally but I just never really got into them so I will probably finish levelling my warrior then hit the shammy and priest. I dont think ill ever have the patience with my druid or pally so will be happy with what I got =)

The real question is:
Should the second exp. pack raise the cap to L80, how many will level their 70's to 80 . And how inclined would you be to start an alt.
Me, I'm glad I've put a stop to my alt-antics. This way they'll all have at least SOME levels under their belt...

It depends how long until the XP pack. This year? I mean, several top end raiding guilds might be starving already for new content to conquer while the majority of us is probably only now attempting SSC and TK. As far as my raidgroup is concerned we probably need until early 2008 before we see BT...so lots of time to level alts, but I already can't be bothered to level my 60 and 61 to 70....starting a brand new toon on Alliance side and explore those quests for the first time is actually more interesting atm...

If you do, consider making a squidface, as the new starting area contains some of the most polished and fun starter quests that I've seen in WoW, I really enjoyed them while levelling my shammy :)
Yup...did that :) Draenei hunter. Awesome area, awesome class so far, but picked a not so squish-faced lady.
Hunter was the last class missing on my rooster....couldn't stand it before when I tried and deleted at 13..now I know it was because I chose a Tauren. Theoretically I love Taurens. I just can't seem to be able to play them...

On the topic of the next expansion should blizzard release it early '08 aren't they gimping themselves a bit? Imagine starting a new char would be extremley daunting.. Or maybe thats just my opinion.. :azn:

Not really, no. Bear in mind that Burning Crusade technically only took about 14 - 16 months to complete after accounting for the 6 - 8 months hiatus ALL of Blizzard ended up taking while putting out the WoW server emergencies. And now, they have a operating procedure to work with for making later releases.
Imagine starting a new char would be extremley daunting.. Or maybe thats just my opinion.. :azn:
Not really. Once again, WoW's character development rate is significantly faster than other MMOs already on the market. It is somewhat standard for MMOs to release level cap increases.

Of course its standard otherwise there would be nothing to aim for and blizz would just be chugging out more raids. I was thinking of how they raise the xp per level well going to 80 imagine what the xp rate will be then ouch!

But you always gain more xp per kill and for each quest you hand in, so it wont be as bad as some people seem to think 60-70 only took me about a month of playing 2-3 hours a day and i expect 70-80 wont be much longer than that.

what i am saying is that the ammount of xp you get is relevent to your level, so where people thought the ammount of xp needed to 70 is high you also gain more xp per kill and more xp per quest to counter balance the more xp you need per level, I remember getting around 700xp killing level 58's in WPL. The same level mobs in outlands would get me 1Kxp a kill chances are the next expansion will release a new continent, and gaining xp will be just as easy as it is now and the ammount you do get will be higher enough to gain levels reletivly fast.

1 - 10 is really fast. But 60 - 70 has been, in my experience, easier/faster than 40 - 50. And that's with 2 70's, a 60, and a 44. Heck, 50-60 is a little easier than 40 - 50. I've found that the 40 - 50 range is the "long haul", the hardest level range & one that takes the most time to get through. Then it is somewhat a tie between 30 - 40 and 50 - 60. Well with TBC, actually 50 - 58, since 58+ you can just step through the Dark Portal. Adjusting for that, then from hardest/slowest to easiest/fastest level ranges (once again, in my experience) would be:
40 - 50 is hardest
30 - 40 is harder than
50 - 58 is harder than
58 - 70 is harder than
20 - 30 is harder than
1 - 10 is the easiest

I plan to level 3 70's eventually, druid already there and raiding, shammy, priest. The priest is 40 and shammy 50, so over the hill with the shaman, and dreading the climb to 50 on the priest.

I was a little different.....I wanted one 70 of each race.....horde only cuz I can't stand playing alliance.
70 undead warlock (main)
70 orc hunter
70 bloodelf paladin (it was brutal changing over from a lock and hunter to lvling a pally....I'll rip out my toenails before doing that again)
35 tauren druid
31 troll rogue (my first character ever....made in the beginning of Feb 06, but refuse to delete him and will lvl one day)

40-50 on a priest is pretty easy. You get shadow form + dreamweave gear makes those levels actually as fast if not faster than the 30's.
