I have programming experience but am just learning LUA and XML (in-depth). I was wondering if someone (Preferably Grayhoof) could make or tweak a mod to do what I wish. I haven't seen a mod that does this but I will explain it below and if there is a mod of such nature please let me know.
Ok here goes:
First off this is a raid icon targeting mod
The main area (bar):
Left click a button to use it (marks current target using its current settings)
Right click a button to change the settings for this icon
Hovering over the button gives you a tooltip with the current settings
Options menu includes:
Resize and reshape (horizontal bar, horizontal with 2 rows of 4 icons each, vertical, vertical with 2 columns of 4 icons each) (H, H 2x4, V, V 2x4)
Scale
Button Opacity
Background Opacity and color
H spacing
V spacing
Locked (or movable)
Right click menu:
Assign to (list the classes here priest, rogue, hunter, etc)
Stands for (sap, tank, off tank, assist, tank and assist, freeze trap, etc)
Report to (party member [submenu] choose party member, raid member [submenu] choose raid member, party channel, raid channel)
When you mark a target the information provided lets everyone or just the person that needs to know what that icon stands for. This is tons better than macroing and can be fairly light as a mod I believe. If someone would care to take on this project I would aid in anyway possible. I just don't have the time or programming experience to do so myself. Thanks tons for any comments!
