I need help with two things:
1. Is there any programs that can change the resolution of diablo 2 from 800x600 to 1280x1024, or any other resolution.
and
2. Is the any mpq extractor that I can use to get art from diablo 2? I've used WinMPQ and it gives me a bunch of random letter and numbers strun together for names.
Thanks for any help.

Have you tried the diablo 2 sister-forum to this? Your account will work there as well (at least mine did).
Here you go:

Accounts created prior to the forum split will work. New accounts will not.

Well, chances are alot of WoW players have played Diablo, as it was one of the few MMO's before WoW and it is after all the same owner.

No, and no.
MOre to the point you will be unable to get the answers to those questions on Diabloii.net, we do not support the use of those programs, and if you find them elsewhere, you do so at your own risk.

AFAIK Thargos is working on WC3 / Diablo II skins for World of Warcraft. That might be why he's asking here, because a lot of people here also played Diablo and WC3.

exactly. I'm don't hack, change models, none of that. I'm trying to make WC3, Diablo 1 &2, and possibly WC2 (meh) skins for WoW.

You are a f***ing idiot Thargos.
Why the **** would you make ****ing skins taken straight out of Diablo 1 and 2, WC3 and maybe WC2 to put into WoW?
Are you ****ing retarded or something, seriously, stfu and go play some better games then WoW.
If you want the skins for them, then just go play the originally ****ing games then, dumb****

williamc, might I recommend you follow your own advice.
Everyone has their own opinions, you shouldn't talk to someone that way just becausen they aren't some WoW nerd like you.
You really should not talk to someone in that fashion when what they are doing has no bearing on you.

See ya. And don't count on coming back, either. If you hate WoW so much, you shouldn't miss the ability to post on WoW-related forums.

The Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft model/texture filing system is nearly identical, it's very easy to carry them inbetween one another without modification. They were developed in parellel and designed with the same graphics tools, even stored in the same filing system. Warcraft II is out of the question though. It's a 2D game, there's not even a remote similarity. There's no 3D model to go by whatsoever. The game files can't be ported, bar difficult homemade work from scratch, inspired by the game's portrayal. I must admit, I like the old Warcraft II doodles. But from a technical basis, it doesn't mesh.

If I remember correctly, you need a file that tells with MPQ program where the files are and what they are called. Like a text file or something. But it's been a LONG time since I fiddled around with any of that.
