I played this game for nearly two years, my main character was a warrior. and now I have a rogue:)
sincerely, I want to make friends with all of you in this community, and I have so many things about the game to discuss with you.
I hope you can add me to your msn, my msn is: E-Mail nuked for privacy reasons. Don't put your addy on an open forum, that's just asking for spam by way of web crawler bots. If, you and some folks hit it off, then share e-mail addresses by way of PM, a whole lot safer. Signed, Valas.

thanks , greeting to all of you sincerely:)

Welcome, montage!

I'm a girl. I come to this forum all of the time. I just never say anything. =)

Tikki ~ you and I are in the same boat. My girlfriends pretty much use their computers for shopping. I think you may be on to something with that whole hiding thing.

lol i agree!
all the girls I know are, "pssssh, video games? why would anyone want to play those stupid things!! Lets go downtown and drink and shake our things...teeehehehehehehehe *hair flip*" .... mind you, i can't deny that i too have been that girl on one or more occasion, but NONE of my girlfriends even try to play games.... it's sad.... and most likely why I don't have many close close girlfriends.....

anyways, the only time I've ever met someone who played WoW was at Futureshop, when I either as for TBC and then they were all like "so you ally or horde? what server you play on?" , or the time i took my computer in to get fixed and the guy was like "soo i notice you play wow....we should play together sometime...." ... i took my computer and ran from that guy.

but yeah....it's like we're ashamed to play such a game.....none of my friends know... :( it's a shameful world.

haha, nice to meet you, in China, many girls use computer to play PC games,
actually, I don't think PC game was just designed for boys, so all of you girls don't need to hide your self:)

lol i agree!

never be ashamed about this:)
I think the girls who play WOW is definitely smarter than other girls. A survey in China indicate that young peopel play network PC game such as WOW have a good improvement in IQ and EQ, so go ahead! it's cool:)

you know...i believe this. I think in years to come, we will see a decrease in age related cognitive diseases, especially in those individuals that played these interactive games....

i wonder why there isn't an equal amount of girls enjoying these games as there are guys...i think the game is fairly unisex. it's not geared to either sex (excluding some high level gear which makes ladies look like a 13 year old boy's dream).

Sadly, I think (at least in the US), girls typically want to grow up to be Paris, or Lindsay, or a Bratz doll. Even if the game isn't geared toward males, there is enormous social pressure on girls to shop, giggle, and pretend they are dumb. Sitting in front of a computer to play a game isn't part of the primping and preening required to accomplish those things. It was a little more acceptable when I was younger, but when I observe the girls that go to school with my 13-year-old... *shudder*

I don't like to make general statements like "girls who play WoW are smarter," but you can't really play this game well and not have a little something going on upstairs. So yay on us!

I don't really keep it a secret that I play, but trying to talk about it to someone who doesn't...well, I am sure you are familiar with the glazed-over look that comes across their eyes.

On average you can. I mean, quite a few kids know the basics of manipulation of open markets from doing just that with various items on the AH, and especially hunters get a lot of training in maths when figuring out their shot cycles.

Maybe not a big difference, but at least the complete <insert offensive term related to the IQ of a person here> will be scared off.

Not so my friend, all a kid has to is spec BM hunter and point at the mobs and the pet does the rest. Not much to it.

In China, many girls play this game.
The most funny thing is someone pretend to be a girl in the game.
the use software to change their voice in the U-Talk, so when loot equipment, they always get priority cause the boys want to be gentleman:)
so, I think that's a good method for getting eqipment quickly:)

I can vouch for it being easier for girls to get stuff in the game. Having watched my girlfriend  play, I have a whole new appreciation of the power of being female.

I have never seen anyone get so many free enchants, or random gifts in my life. Not to mention the guys falling all over themselves to help her with quests.

Just teasing you, Darling.

Hmmm. Can you use that to make your voice sound like a guy? The new voice-chat system scares me...

Then again most main hunters are lvl 70 (due to the fast lvling) and thus they have to start considering it. Admittedly, not thinking of just that means that you're probably pulling down the average.. oh well.
