what software do you use for editing video?

for many of us, we use video editing software in our lives.
for example, we record our wonderful moment in wow, and then we need to edit the video. so, in our lives every video we record need to be edited:)
I just want to know which software did you use?
by the way, I'm a video engineer, does any one work in the same industry?

Audio Designer for an Ad Agency currently but I went to school for video / audio production. Started my own company out of school and began freelancing -doing local Indie films, doing Industrials, low end commercials for In-House displays, private parties, special DVDs for businesses, etc. Now I work for this company and freelance on the side when I have time.

i have an old copy of premier i've been using for years. although i'm no professional and haven't used it much in the last few years. i think the last thing i did was a half life 2 video right when the game was released to get some of my fellow clan members a bit more excited bout it lol.
