farming BFD...

How effective is this? I've recently decided to make a level 19 priest BGer. Seeing as how my server is very small...and I'm not overwhelmed with dispensable resources, I'm thinking about trying to farm these items (or at least some other items that will sell for a considerate amount).

In addition, who do you think would make a better farmer? My level 70 priest (+600 shadow damage)--specced for PvP, no VT. Or my twinked out level 49 warrior? (998 AP, self buffed). I know it sounds like a simple choice--but the warrior DOES have sweeping strikes, whirlwind, and wouldn't have to drink, ever.

well its a no brainer considering the 21 level difference. I am interested in seeing the priests armory link though.

I've seen a L60 Epiced out Warrior almost get killed in BFD if it hadn't been for my heals (I was a L25 Druid back then I think)...

He WAS taking on 10 to 15 Naga at once though :tongue:.

Well, remember that boss drops are generally BOP not BOE so you'll be hoping for BOE's from trash mobs. I spent some time in Gnomer last night (w/ my 70 hunter) - I killed 98% of everything in the place . .every last trash mob . . . and the only blues I got were from the bosses which of course were BOP. The BOE pants I was looking for from trash mobs didn't drop. Will probably make about 20Gold off the green lowbie gear I picked up - even got a few things for alts - but no Petrospill Leggings . . . :undecided:

Also, if I remeber correcly, there's only like 2 or 3 drops from BFD that are BOE.

There are way better places to farm than BFD - some that even have books tha are quest starters for other classes which sell nicely. :wink: Is there a particular reason you're farming BFD?

I was under the impression that both rares I need dropped there (tree bark jacket and darkweave breaches), along with shadowfang, feet of the lynx, sentry cloak, and assassin's blade--all of which fetch good money.

shadowfang and assassins blade drop only in shadow fang keep.

feet of the lynx is a world drop from 23-27 mobs

not sure about the others tho

I find you can get some really nice drops if you farm AH too =P

Its surprising how many blues/epics you can twink yourself with in there lol

And can even start farming at level 1!

Not true when you're on the 7th lowest populated server in the nation. The AH is sometimes a barren wasteland.

For level 19 twink items run SFK. shadowfang + assasins blade. The jacket does drop in BFD but the Breeches (+sentry cloak+feet of the lynx) are a world drop.
