Let me just preface this real quick with a few notes.
This is mostly a way to avoid mobs/horde in barrens when the need arises to have to walk to TN( like first time you go to get thalanaar FP, etc.) or you need to go to RFK/RFD. By the time you need to go there the mobs won't be such a bother other than if you get too close and killing them slows you down. However I have never encountered a mob or horde here any time I've used it.
Its not a way across all of barrens, but it does give you an easy jog through a good bit of it. In these screens I walked around first hill since i was pve on this one and wanted to do it quick. The first hill will get you to the second and is good to use right out of ratchet, but it does come down before the main one, but right at it so its a quick transfer. The first hill is just to the east at ratchet entrance/exit.

Here we go.

The entrance to the main highway is right behind northwatch hold.
Its right next to the raptor grounds.

and here's where first hill comes down at, right in front of the main highway.

Here's the map shot showing the two hills.

And here's the end of it near dustwallow border.
If you can run through the 30-40's in dustwallow great, but if you can't yet and need to get to gadgetzan, or rfk, or wherever here, this is the way to go.

Watch out for these guy when you get to bottom.

This takes out a huge chunk of barrens, for ally avoiding horde, or horde who just want to run through most and avoid mobs that slow you down.

True, as i mostly use this on pvp. i only used my old pve toon to do it quick one night. :)
Nothing wrong with default Ui, just have to figure out how to bind those other hotbar slots to the keys i don't use.

Good incentive.

Now add one where you come from Auberdine :) It is the Horde guards in Ashenvale/Barrens border that kill people who don't take the hole in the fence :)

Right on, I'm sure some peeps will find this useful in saving their behinds

Though no cords? I also noticed you don't have any loaded on your map view or your HUD - may I suggest DiMapCoords? Simple little mod that puts cords on your main map at the bottom (shows current position and curser position and also puts a little cord area on the bottom of the default minimap.

Can't link to our UIPage so . . .

The climb up the hill by the raptor grounds I have used on several alts in the past as a way to get into Northwatch Hold from behind, which makes that quest a little less time consuming since you can bypass the lower courtyard of the hold.

I hadn't realized you could run so far south from up there. Thanks for the tip. As a devout hordie, it is interesting even if I never use it out of need.

lol

I'll have to add this to my explore list along with several zones in Azeroth that I still haven't gone in - I think I'm still missing 1-2 FP's and I'm 70  lol

Show's the deversity I guess in leveling up in the Eastern Kingdoms versus Kalimdor all the while soloing most of the game except for a quest / instance here and there.

Cool, and I'm looking forward to trying it. To be honest though I've done this run a bunch of times and I have never run into anything but low-level horde on the main road. Most of the time I don't see a single person and don't get close enough to mobs to aggro anything. Could be my server though, tends to be a little empty.
