Profession question

I'm a lvl 13 Rogue Gnome--I just unlearned first 2 primary professions so I could pick Mining and Engineering. I got Mining but when I went to the Engineering trainer nothing was available. Does anybody know what might be wrong? Thanx

You need to level engineering with the things you get when you first get engineering. Then go back later and you can train for more stuff.

If I read the OP's post correctly he doesn't HAVE engineering. At all.

Check your paper doll under skills and make sure you only have 1 primary profession selected - if you only have one then make sure you are speaking to a Journeyman engineering trainer. If it still won't let you pick up engineering at that point it's time to petition.

You have to make sure you talk to the JOURNEYMAN engineer trainer. If you talk to the expert/artisan trainer you cannot train with them yet.

It is also a good plan to listen to what the trainer is saying to you. Mostly trainers that are too skilled or not skilled enough to learn you anything will, on the first screen before you click "training", say something like:

"Try to get some more training first, please talk to Bobby the Bomber standing next to me"

Later they might even point you to different cities or different areas.
