View Full Version : Tell me...

I have a slight feeling may get gonged, BUT, tell me about anything...seriously though, tell me anything as long as you have a response to what the previous person said!
something like this -
I really like reality shows. Right now I'm in love with big brother. Anyone else watch it? I love E.D.
or
I'm so excited!! Three more days until I go away on my camping/golf trip!! Speaking of golf, anyone see the british open? wasn't it a woo'zer?!
or
I spent the entire weekend in front of my computer with research methods, statistic, and SF-36 books laid out beside me. In total, I believe i was like that for at least 15 hours. This is what I did
"With increasing numbers of diabetes diagnoses throughout the aging population in Canada, the health care system is seeing an increase utilization of all health services. Within Nova Scotia, over 19% of individuals 65 years and older have been clinically diagnosed with diabetes (Stats Can).
What is the quality of life for elderly patients who undergo lower extremity?
Hypothesis: The quality of life for patients who undergo lower extremity trauma significantly lower than the average quality of life for elderly patients.
Theoretical Framework-Post-postivist.
Rationale-
Methodology- SF-36, LUCS, review articles.
Subjects-Patients admitted to the QEII who are 60 years or older, need little to no assistance to complete IADLs and ADLs, and have no other known serious illnesses (having not been diagnosed with major medical conditions such as non-insulin dependent diabetes, coronary heart disease and uncontrolled hypertension (Vellas et al., 1997))."
I did however watch both days of the british open, the entire 3rd season of stargate atlantis, jeepers creepers, 3 episodes of Dexture, and played resident evil for wii.
or you could actually say something with meaning...like "I really like to think of the cyclical process of the human life. I understand Aristotle’s idea of an equal oppisite for everything....etc"

really? I totally prefer the short order chef. Her and Roc are my favourite right now....Bonnie gives us blondes a bad name.
I found another lady's undergarmets in our landry last night. They were black, and wonderfully lacey....I feel concerned.
bonnie is my friend so go bonnie :p that aside i'm working side by side with tom colicchio everyday :) and just for perspective... the top chef winner illan or whatever his name is actually worked for tom at craft... he lasted 1 week before getting himself fired :p so much for top chef cant even hack it as a decent cook...
rottentomato
23-07-2007, 05:43 PM
illan? is he from the 2nd season?
those cooks dont really have the best abilities when it comes to cooking honestly.
the short order cook doesnt know what Ahi tuna is...bonnie was a nanny...rock is probably the best choice for a winner, except for his anger, and his lack of helping a cook in need and being a team player....i think bonnie actually has an excellent chance of taking it all the way because of her compassion and palette. i am surprised worthless josh has stayed as long as he has....he's been dodging bullets for a while now.
yeh season 2... well, bonnie can't cook so... if she wins... it really says something about these so called chef's... she's my friend but that doesnt change the fact that she's never cooked for a day i her life in a tough kitchen.

kcma & rotten.....
You 2 are really letting us down. You're both going on about cooking....
...and nobody has even asked Tikki the followup question to the strange pair of ladies underwear in her laundry.
What if she is leading a double life and 1 personality is unaware of the other ?
What if her bf has some strange "dress up" rituals he performs when she is not home ?
What if there is some strange woman in her building who randomly distributes her lacey panties into other peoples laundry ?
Or perhaps the detergent manufacturers in Canada are giving away free black lace panties in each 24 oz box of detergent ?
These are the questions you should be asking.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I think perhaps Agony Aunt gave me some good advice ;)
Oh, and perhaps that split personality is just my blonde personality coming out ~ most of the time I'm in my brunette one, but occasionally my sassy blonde peaks through!
What about you Kodonn? What do you have to tell us all? i must say, you are very inquisitive!

LOL...I was trying to spark your creative writing talents.
There was a short lived TV series a while back, I think it was called "The Gun".
It was about this ordinary handgun that kept changing owners (in one way or the other) and each episode showed how it affected or impacted the persons life. (sometimes the person used it to save a life, sometimes used it to start a life of crime, etc.) Sort of an "Adventures of an Inanimate Object" theme.
I think you should try writing a series of shorts stories on "The Black Lacies".
First story...you have to come up with some really obscure way the underwear got into your laundry :ponder: and then some profound way it changed your life. Then you have to come up with some creative way for them to move on and affect someone elses life. Oh...and you have to keep it PG. :wink2:
Oh...and I hate reality shows. Ever since the first season of Survivor. I thought it would be great to watch how people pit themself against nature and use their whits to survive on an island. Then I saw some episodes where they were all sitting around complaining how they were hungry and they couldn't catch anything to eat....and in the background I swear you could see monkeys sitting in the trees just munching away on fruit.

She pressed her ear against her apartment door and listened to the giggles. Her smile mirrored the envy that she had for the young couple who was returning from the basement laundry room. In love, always happy…never alone. The young couple had always been nice to her, always smiling at her, making phony elevator conversation. She knew they pitied her and her solitary ways.
Her cat brushed up against her unshaved leg, purring a loving tune. Her cats were her family, her friends, her life.
She opened a can of tuna for her four legged babies and sat down in her dusty old armchair. She rocked back and forth , the TV volume on mute, listening to her favourite show – her young neighbours. She hated them and adored them all at the same time. She wished should could be the one laughing in the arms of the young man. She wanted to gaze into his eyes, feel his skin, be held by him. What did that young girl know about making a young man happy? All she cared about were clothes and frivolous things. That man needed a real woman…he needed her.
She began concocting a plan, one that would tear the young lovers apart and bring him to her. She riffled through her drawers and found what she needed. She had been a looker in her days, and new what men liked. She slipped on her old friend and modeled them in the mirror. Sure she had a little extra then when she was 20, and things weren’t exactly where they should be…but in the dark, it wouldn’t matter. The feel of the lacey would make the young man drown in her love.
She slide them off and headed to the point of action.
Once in the laundry room she scouted the area. It was clear, and the basket of laundry was sitting on top of the dryer. Someone had already done half of her work. She ruffled through the warm clothes…examining some of the young mans clothes…they smelt just how she though they would. Warm, inviting, like cheap laundry detergent. She heard the elevator door open and quickly through her treat into their clothes, making sure it wasn’t on top.
The young man came in. He smiled, like always, and gave her a nod as he picked up their cloths. Bashful now, she managed to squeak out a ‘hello’ before he left.
Now she was to wait. Wait for them to find her tiny gift. Wait for the questions to start. The tension to begin. Wait for him to fall into her arms…….

hmmmm...In most cases, I would have expected the bf (not yours in particular Tikki, just in general) to be the one "making up a good story" to explain where they came from. :ponder:
After all....you could have just said they were a present from a secret admirer on your server. That would keep him guessing.
I thought that was somewhere in the first 50 rules of the "Girlfriends Secret Handbook"....always keep the bf off balance. :flowers:

Well, they WERE my size, but certainly not mine! Women know their underwear and those were certainly not mine! And from the wear and tear they had, they were someone's favourite pair! :ew:
And I suppose I should have kept him guessing ... but he thought they were mine (shows you how much he pays attention to what I wear!) ... anyways, my first reaction was, "i know you're home alone a lot, but come on! You said green was your favourite color, not black!" ... funny none the less! lol
I'm just filled with funny stories....
like the time we went on a road trip to the states and I made us drive 7 hours to the wrong state....you know, there are A LOT of Salems in the US....or the time we arrived at 1am to the hotel I planned to stay at on our trip...and it was dingy...and when we woke up and saw the place in the light...we realized we were in the scariest hood ever. or the time I mistook the package of Ultra Stimulant Laxative pills for allergy pills, "it's two hours later, and the two pills I took aren't working...i should take more" ..... I'm filled with information.

Some are busy during the summer with vacation etc.
Some got tired of how this board has become more like the officials.
Some cite lack of new information, or lack of people being in the new 25 man content.
A lull? yes...I think it will improve however after the next patch. I have been posting more and more on the officials myself.

Last night my older brother jumped on me [Yes, All 210 pounds of him] and I beat his ass. I bit him and broke skin. In the midst of the fight my cell phone charger broke and now it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell if my cell phone can be charged by any charger because it wouldn't charge with that charger you'd have to keep taking it out and putting it back in [You have a sick mind for thinking that!!] Now I'm stuck in cali for another week with limited access to computers [my crack <3] and no cell phone so I can't call my lover :'(. And on top of that I completely forgot how to speak Armenian so I can't communicate with my Grandmother and people speak more Armenian around here than english. AND yesterday there was a shooting. 3 People died and 1 person got injured along with a police officer. My cousins Fiance knew the person that got injured and the person that got injureds parents were killed and the killer commited suicide. =P Makes Burbank California seem like a really good place to be right now, eh? AND we were supposed to be here for 10 days but that was changed to 9 because US airways ****ed up and we were stuck in Vegas for a day without a penny to gamble. AND I didn't even want to ****ing come here. I'd rather be at my friends birthday party than stuck here not being able to contact her much missing her every single second I'm here not being able to sleep because I'm so god damn pissed off. WHAT THE ****. I didn't even want to come here. I'd rather be at the party.
Try that. The guy had to be atleast 2 years older than me in this case aswell. Probably 4 years older than me. Anyone in burbank california that can help me please tell me.
OH did I mention I'm on vacation and my friends birthday party was today? Yeah. That's how ****ing pissed I am. Send me home... please?

I spent the weekend in the lab working on angiogenin and its role in the disease ALS. I'm interning at one of the most prestigious labs in America and I'm not sure why, or even if I should be here. Because lately every step I take I just want to further my self from the world of science. This weekend I was suppose to see my girlfriend of more than 3 years. Every time I see your name, Wil Smith leaps out of a little door in my brain and screams : "Tikki-Tikki-Wild West !"
Please make him stop :dizzy:

Thanks Caderbery! Fortunately I'm on strict orders from my doctor to stay home and rest for the rest of the week. Apparently I have an ear, eye, chest infection as well as strep throat. So i'm a bio-hazard :( toxic waste....a big ball of gooey deathness.
hehe Wodgar, tell Willy to come by my place!! got in one little fight and my mom got scared, and said "you’re moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"

aww thanks!
I'm certainly going to rest...even when i stay home because i think i'm sick, i never really relax...it's my anal attitude! but now with the doctor telling me to just rest I can actually relax (i love my GP, she's so nice, he's early 30's and is sooo funny and said, "now jill, you HAVE to stay home from work - i'm not letting you go!") ...
wait...i'll still be worried that i'll get fired....even though i know I won't.

Sounds like you have a great GP, mine just tells everyone theres nothing wrong with them and sends them away, She see's alot more Patients in the day than the rest of the GP's there. Just make sure you do relax and not to slip back into your normal routine, dont want you becoming worse than you are now.
