Well I've spooken about this Diablo Based 2D in a 3D environment game on and off and it seems that they're re-released it and it's free again.

Check it out - the graphic don't compare to WoW but the gamplay can be really realy fun - mostly a grinding w/o many quests when I stopped playing but you never know what they've done to it now.
They do have epic battles for the entire server where the sides try to protect / take over a castle etc - your environment comes into play (for example an archer on a tower will hit harder than an archer on the ground . . . gravity baby! Stuff like that that makes it different and fun.

Why's that? :ponder:
It's certainly not a 3d / graphic intensive game but the mechanics are awesome IMO.
I haven't even looked at it in years (so they could have changed it), but it's got a deep system in place for skills/proffession (w/ multiple professions equalling a GM level where you can make certain special items / pvp combat on a large scale / tons of dungeons to grind in / reg world pvp / 3 races / many classes / spell and attack animations aren't to shabby / high level cap / it's got that thing where you can put a bounty on someones head (well it did years ago lol) / dual classing at end game / arena for titles / all for free . . .
They made it pay 2 play after running for free for years - then they took the game offline only to put it out again it seems.
Of course it wont hold a candle to any current MMORPG's but for a freebie game its not too shabby IMO (kinda like playing a game on the Original Nintendo lol)
So what made it suck for ya'? I'm just wondering what they may have changed.

The in-game FAQ is way to long. It's boring, and it doesn't play well.

yup :grin:
One thing we did when I played this is that there was a universal number language.
1=heal
2=shield
88=goodbye (i have no idea either . . .)
etc lol

OMFG! WOW THAT IS JAW DROPPING!!! SERIOUSLY!
I went to main page and read up on this . . .so sweet - no safe zones - but there are consequences to your actions such as if you run around killing everyone you will eventually not be able to find a safe harbor / town / place to learn skills or trade . . . . simply wow!!!!
This is now at the top of my watch list - can't wait to give this a go . . .

I hope you know this is considered "Advertisement" and that you can get banned for it. Keep it on the Messaging systems such as AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc.

Darkfall looks really neat, but I'm skeptical that it will ever actually come out . . .
