I apologize in advance for this long post, but I need some advice from experience. I am currently on PVP US Horde Burning Blade. It is PACKED. I started there only because my brother had a char. there and begged me to play with him. He still plays on there, but I don't think it's the server for me. Besides the overcrowding, it seems everyone is level 60+...not everyone obviously, but many. Many of the guilds are ancient and the new ones are unreliable.

I am currently a lvl 33 resto. Shaman and I have been playing mostly on weekends-I have a full time job and cannot stay up all night playing like some people can-for several months. I enjoy the game a lot and I would like to plug into a guild. I find it hard to find a guild that wants to help me learn the ropes. I had a small guild with my brother and a few friends just to keep touch, but they all left or stopped playing and my brother wants to be in whatever guild I am in-he is a bit higher level than I am.

I know how to play my char. well, and my char. is reasonablly equipped from doing instances, etc. But I find so many guilds here asking for people with high levels and high equipment. I would go into a guild for friends more than to beg equipment off people, but it seems many guilds think lower levels are out to cheat them. That or they require you to play 3 weeknights a week for 4 hours at a block-something I cannot do because of work and they require you to be high level, which I work on all the time, but I can only do so much...Where's the love of the game gone?

Finding a good, friendly, guild is rough. I don't mind application processes or recruitement status, etc. I am 29 and though I have been online since dial-up wasn't standard in anyone's home, I still feel lost in this game sometimes.

Like I said, I am thinking of moving servers because I would like a newer server without so many of the ancient guild elites, but I fear I might run into this situation everywhere I go. What say you all? Is this problem common or is it just this server? Or maybe it's just me?

:) Thanks for your opinions or advice ahead of time.

yah your going to have the problem wherever you go. you might have better luck in a roleplaying server. but i'd hardly waste the $$ on transferring a lvl 33. now that you have done that much of one character it shouldn't take you that long to do it again. i'd try out a few servers and maybe even join up with tikki on executus. but they are alliance lol.

I just have such an attachment to my char....guess I could always rename the exact match on the other server and work my way up again. :) This is my first char to really play and it took me a LONG time to get to this point only because I was clueless as to where things were and what order to really do them in. Doing it again wouldn't be terrible I think. :D

Thanks for the advice.

yah i know how it is. it took me forever to get my first character to lvl 60 back when wow first came out. then i leveled up 2 characters at once maximizing the use of rest xp by switching back and forth and wound up leveling my 2nd and 3rd both faster than i had my 1st lol. i had quit playing for a while and just started a new guy recently and it was my first horde toon. even though i wasn't familiar with the quests, i was still able to get to 40 within a month and am now at 60 with my epic mount in less than 2 months. and here is the kicker, i'm not playing near as much as i used to lol. maybe a couple of hours a night, but most nights lately i'm playing another game.
