I found this pic online (http://www.haslo.ch/wow/lvl_1-40/Mining_4.jpg) and am wondering how I get the neat info to appear at the top of the screen. Location, bag status, XP,.... that is pretty neat stuff to know. Is that in the game options section or do I need to download something?

You would need to download an user interface modification, commonly known as a "mod" for that functionality. This should not be confused with the jolly fellows that parade around with green attached to their names.

It would appear that the one depicted is a widely used one named "Titan Panel". The additional information comes from a variety of plugins that extend it's functionality.

As a second alternative there is also a similar mod named FuBar. It is based on the Ace library and provides the same functionality.

Both should be available from this website's user interface section. However, if you would prefer to install FuBar my recommendation would be to obtain it directly from the WowAce website.

Fubar is better than titan panel if your going to use one of them. FYI

When downloading either mod be sure to get the complete version as I remember being overwhelmed with all the named mods using "Titan" which I found out later they were addons to Titan (which it came with most of them anyways) . . . lol

Yes, just Titan panel already has the most usefull parts builtin:
- time to level
- xp/hour
- bag status
- location coordinates
- moneystatus
- durability status
- ...

the only parts I add to it are:
- an alarm clock to tell me when to stop playing
- an addon that easily lets me chuck out the least valuable item from my bags, for when a nice green drops that I think > that "Soft Bushy Tail".

Titan is a bit of a memory hog though.

FuBar is a fair bit lighter in use.
