Need ideas for contest!

I would like to hold a fun contest celebrating my website's first 10,000 unique visitors but I have no idea what kind of contest I can do. The prize would be something like a sub-domain and a custom built website by me (there are limits to what I can do though). Anyways, I just need creative ideas for contests I can hold related to World Of Warcraft or a website that is related to World Of Warcraft.

So take out your colorful thinking hats and get the ideas rolling!

A friend of mine told me about a fun thing I could do, which is have a race from the Gnome level 1 starting point to the Wetlands bridge.

I suggest a recording of coming the closest to falling to your death without actaully dieing. With 1hp being the minimum off course. You'd also need to have at least 5k max health or something so it'd have the needed granularity.

Off course naked Level 1 races are always fun... :grin:

Try to have a race from the gnome starting are to crossroads. Side rule is: "don't get to level 2 in the process".

Did this with a friend of mine, i was first:"discovered Crossroads"..." Congratulations, you have reached level 2"

Mate: "Hah, N00b you dinged" 5 minutes later "crap, lvl 2..."

I will get there some time with a lvl 1 pink haired gnome, but i am afraid that it will involve a lot of swimming.

Level 1 naked gnome raid on Hogger, whoever gets the killing blow is the winner?

Naked level 1 gnome races really are huge fun though :-)

Leveling contest to level 5 - takes about 30 minutes or so for most classes

Though that nekked gnome race is always popular on these boards. See if you can track down some footage somewhere around here. The races are hilarious.

the stampede (all tauren)
the march of the dead (all forsaken)
million man march (human)

personally i like the idea of an elven theme, have both factions (blood elf and night elf) each try to get to the others capital city (no using the BE teleporter) will be interesting since it involves both sides at some point going through the plaguelands

Someone mentioned one once, where you go to 'mystery' areas and take one or two screenshots, and from those screen shots everyone playing has to find the spot and takes screenshots of them there. Good places are the top of the head of one of the statues of the kings at the sg gate, and if you can if airport and the farm are on the hillside below. these are not easy to get to, but possible without any exploits. other places may be caves, but you'd need some good descriptive ss to know which cave in which area, as most all look alike.
You could also have the good old fashioned naked night elf marathon, and have them run from darnassus to booty bay, but limit the boat to the one in theramore so its more of a challenge. No auberdine or ratchet boat, only theramore.
Theres also my personal favorite, which i've only done once with 5 other people. Its an all out race from darnassus to gurabashi arena, only rule is, no fp. once all 6 get to gurabashi, 5 of them fight it out in a free for all, and the winner of the race gets a bye and faces the last man standing of the 5.
